In 2002 police were executing a weapons search on a farm in British Columbia. Along the way they found the belongings of one Sereena Abotsway a woman on a list of 60 missing women in the Greater Vancouver Area. Police then checked the freezers and found the heads of two women, each cut in half vertically as well as their hands and feet. They also found the remains of another woman in a garbage bag. This resulted in one of the largest forensic investigations in history.
5 years later the owner of the farm is being tried for the murder of 26 missing women whose (partial) remains were found on his farm. There is also his video taped claim that he had killed 49 women and was looking to kill one more to make it an 'even 50'. There are also claims that he may have fed the remains to unsuspecting guests.
It is like the farm off of Sin City meets Hannibal Lector.

What's creepy is that they are sure to make a Hollywood movie glorifying and celebrating his killings.

When this case first blew open and they were digging around his farm, there was a suspicion that Pickton might also have either known the green river killer or actually done one or two of the murders that the green river killer was blamed for.

He is actually claiming responsibility for killing 49 women, however only 26 have been identified and of those 26 he is currently only "on trial" for 6 murders.
Today is the second day of his trial that the jury has to sit through his 11 hour interragation. This guy is sick, he's not upset about getting caught, in this taped statement he says he feels he's done nothing wrong. He is however upset he only got to kill 49 women, you see, his goal was 50.
