Any of you plan on seeing the remake that opens tomorrow? I'm generally not a fan of remakes, but this may be a good date movie.
I heard an interview with the director Dave Meyers today on the radio and this is he directorial debute for a full-length film. He's done mainly music videos and commercial. Not sure if that isn't a plus though because he basic has to prove himself with this film.
I loved the 1986 version. Rutger Hauer was freaky as the killer and that's what has turned it into a cult film. Sean Bean is supposed to be more thugish in this version. I'm not sure if that will play well to fans of the earlier version. The youngens of today will probably love it.
