Burning Crusade countdown begins

Keen players of World of Warcraft are expected to queue into the night to get their hands on the first big expansion of the online game.

The long awaited expansion for the game, known as The Burning Crusade, goes on sale in Europe and North America on 16 January.

Many stores are planning late night openings so players can pick up the game as soon as launch day starts.

The expansion is expected to cost £29.99 (45 euros) when it goes on sale.

In London the Oxford Street branch of HMV is planning to open at 2300 GMT.
That's in 1/4 of an hour.

HA-Ha!

OK - I'm on the US Version so have to wait for my ickle parcel from Americaland

Was talking to my kid, who been waiting for this for months so she can do something other then raid, until she maxed her druid again. Her copy should come in 2 days according to fact that she paid for it sometime ago and made sure to use 2 day shipping.

I'm too cheap, and just keep playing EQ with the expansions, she and Jonwin have brought for me. I may even get my main to level 60 this year.

I have ten solid platinum copies with pictures of nacked orcs etched into them. If all ten copies are inserted into external drives at the same time I get to ride a gnome mount.
