You missed a lot of great lines from season 1. Ask anyone if they remember a line from Season 1 and I'd be money they would reply with "Large ***** is always welcome!"

That and "I've never realized until just now what a wicked old harpy you are!"

My favorite is Pompey talking about his son Quintus, who has just had his *** royally kicked first by Vorenus and Pullo then by Marc Antony.

"He's been ill-used."

Quintus as in the same Quintus Antony killed last week?

So... about the children. I'm guessing that the hint is that Octavian will be the one to discover and liberate them, since they're travelling in the same direction. Just the thing to gain the loyalty of a Vorenus who will no doubt be by the time Octavian returns, a man gone off the deep end.

Yep. He came and sought shelter with Servillia after Pompey was defeated.

Yeah, though giving Octavian and Pullo's history, it wouldn't surprise me to see Pullo find himself having a change of fortunes accompanying Augustus' ascention to emperor.

ETA: (speculation based upon history, so not really spoilers ahead) what I'm most wondering about right now is how they're going to put Octavian's family dynamic (specifically regarding his association with Antony) more in line with what is known historically. At some point, Octavian and Antony are supposed to become allies and share power for a while, and Antony ends up married to Octavia before he jilts her for Cleopatra, which ends the alliance and leads to the fate we know Antony and Cleopatra shared. I can only assume that Atia is going to have to die at some point (and given Servillia's words in the preview for next week, I'll be looking in that direction for such an event) because that's the only way Antony could possibly end up married to Octavia.

Well they've already changed things around a bit. I seem to remember reading that when Caesar dies, Octavian is already in the area that we see him leaving for at the end of the ep last night. I also read that history writes Atia as a very pious, loving woman. rofl

The preview for next week seems to indicate they're really speeding up the storyline in anticipation of cancellation. =\

Maybe they'd do Rome: The Next Generation?
Maybe Hadrian, Aurelius, or Constantine?
