You people seem to have some incite into this topic...

Just curious how you all deal with insane people. Functional to a point but obviously insane. We can call them the functionally-insane if you like. Typical example is that guy (made up or not) from the 'shat all over the place' story although that guy finally became un-functional.

Just a few casual observations from a layman:

1. You cannot ignore them. Ignoring them makes them think you are stalking them. (I told you 'insane').

2. You cannot reason with them. Trying to reason with them makes them think you are obsessed with them and hence they think you are stalking them.

3. You cannot have a conversation with a friend within earshot because they will think you are talking about them and are obsessed with them and hence are stalking them.

4. You cannot complain to the authorities since they won't believe you. Who would believe insane ****? You must be obsessed with them. Are you stalking them?

5. You cannot kill them because then you would HAVE to stalk them, and then they would not be insane.

Feel free to ride this anyway you want.

There is only one good way to deal with insane people. It's sort of a universal fix for all problems, actually. You give them a kitten. But make sure the kitten is laced in Prozac.

Good idea. Then you would have PETA all over your *** for cruelty to animals (the kitten that is). Instead of one crazy person you now have a legion...

A tabard is a short coat, either sleeveless, or with short sleeves or shoulder pieces, which was a common item of men's clothing in the Middle Ages, usually for outdoors. It might be belted, or not. Tabards might be emblazoned on the front and back with a coat of arms, and in this form they survive now as the distinctive garment of officers of arms in heraldry.

Tabard design has been known to rip guilds apart into two opposing factions; Smoggy, and We.

It didn't start with a tabard. That's just what those dirty little gnomes want you to believe. Pint size bastages.
