Back in the day, movie stars would choose alluring names:

Victor Mature
Tyrone Power
Kirk Douglas

etc etc

When I was at Grammar School (age about 13) we all went through phases of choosing pseudonyms.

After a Pythonesque nicknaming phase (Nigel Nigel Hyphen-Hyphen-Stroke-Money), we had a 'who can invent the longest nickname without forgetting it'. Mine was "Enrico Greensteinsteinburgerholocogist -Thomas- DamnedRedYellow - Gas - Brown - AdidasBagelot - Brian's Rasputin Not Obligatory Though" (I still remember it more than 30 years on)

We then decided to pick 1950's Hollywood Names.

My friends became:

Dirk Vengeance
Rocky Thrust
Matt Mercury

I chose "Kirk Caesar"

So what teen nicknames did you guys have?

Or do you have an awesome Heart-Throb name in your head?

I can only remember the name from that game choose your **** star name, where your first name was the name of your first pet and your surname was the name of the street you lived on growing up. It was Joey Cross. I thought that was decent. Other than that, I never made up a movie star name. Only **** Star

For some reason, some male buddies from the football team decided that my nickname should be Thelma from Thelma and Louise. I have not a clue why. To this day, whenever I hear someone call out "Thelma" to someone else, I still turn around. Smiley: rolleyes

The variation of the **** star name I was familiar with as a child was the middle name and street you grew up on, although I have heard the pet's name used before, as well.

I have always been sort of fond of mine: Jacob Cadillac, while Church Cadillac just seemed too presumptious.

Also, my mother has always called me Kilophosis Jacobility Norbonovich, to which I always reply that I will someday be the one who decides the quality of adult care center she'll be placed in, since I'm her only child.

Ahh the famous "Kilophosis Jacobility Norbonovich", known as "The King Skeeterphile of Uzbekistan"

I <3 Him!

In my 20's my girlfriend's German mother nicknamed me "Eisenharts". My friends thought it was funny and used it for a few years. I found out latter (she thought it was funny not to tell me what it meant) it meant "Ironhard". I'm still not sure if it was meant as a compliment or insult.

Don't ever recall making a movie star name, but like DSD I used the formula to get my **** star name: Tiger Sagewood.

In the year 2012, when I have fleshed out my next 7900 posts, I fully expect this to be my custom title. I mean, the local authorities already hand out pamphlets stating as much to the neighbours when I move in, so it stands to reason.

One night while drinking and playing pool at a friends house, Dances With Wolves was playing on the television, so we gave each other Indian names.

Among them:

Talks 'til Dawn
Sleeps like Thunder
Pukes on Self
Slays with words

SM. What the S and M stand for I am not telling.

I think my all time favorite was one pal. A night involving too much whiskey ended with him and the girl he was with waking up in a pissed in bed. He got the name Puddles the Bedwetting Clown, or just puddles for short

Apart from family pet names that amount to childish gibberish that stuck, the only nickname I've ever had is Flea.

Throughout my younger years, the extent of 'nicknames' that I had was limited to either people calling me by my last name or just referring to me by the first letter of my first name. Jocks ain't that bright though. Recently I've picked up 'Dez' and 'Shag' from some British friends.

Absolute best name evar: Max Power!

Using the formula mentioned above spits out "Annie Auburn". It has a nice ring to it but since I am a guy, with brown hair, I will probably look elsewhere for my **** Star name.

Possibly Long Dong Silver (or whatever the old S&L skit name was).

A few years ago, after a couple of drinks, a girl at the bar was playfully harrassing a friend of mine. I told her that if she wanted to get to him, she had to go through the White Tornado, which is what I imagine my nickname would be if I was a boxer in the '50s. After everbody stopped laughing, it was later shortened to "Nado," and the name stuck.

My friends and I also gave out phony pornstar names at parties when introducing ourselves. I was always Harry Longwood, and my buddies were Rod Manhammer and **** Hurtz.

We had the same thing on for rock star instead of film stars.

I was Pete Willows power drummer for "burning bridges" we rocked!.... well we sucked actually but strangely the Bass player is now a well respected session musicial. But with a RL name like Rob Mularkey be didn't need a stage name to sound exotic.

**** Name: Winnie Birchall.

I went through quite a few **** names since I had 2 black labs as a kid and we moved a lot. My names would be:

Whip Matthews
Whip Kennedy
Whip Hill

Blacky Matthews
Blacky Kennedy
Blacky Hill

Damn those make me sound like a hick or jazz player respectively. Smiley: lol

Only nickname I ever had growing up was "Whitey" because my last name starts with white and I'm pale as a ghost.
