Tonight, I shall eat my bowl of instant, kimchi, spicy noodles in remembrance.

Smiley: cry Thank you for getting me through college Mr. Ando.

Take a package of Chicken Flavored and crack an egg into it just before it's done. Kind of like egg drop soup with noodles. Truly a blessing.

I drain the liquid. That's where most of the sodium is, or so I tell myself. Then I don't feel so bad about eating the noodles, and my rings all still fit the next day.

Ramen noodles -- glorious sustenance for the poor college student.

I used to put two bricks in the pot, fill it with water, dump in one chemical packet (or if I'm feeling brave, I mix two different chemical flavors), boil 3 minutes, drain all the liquid, and then scarf down those tasty MSG-infused noodley appendages!

Oh yeah... different people pronounce it differently. Long 'a' or short 'a'?

Which is tastier--ramen or cup-of-soup? Same crap? I seem to be partial to the chicken cup-of-soup.

Ramen > Cup o' soup, superiour in all ways ('cept preparation)

If I'm eating mine wet, I'll cook the noodles and drain the water. Then add enough cold water to completely cover the noodles and then add two flavor packets. If dry, cook and drain noodles. Add 1 tbsp of butter to the pan and one flavor packet and put the noodles back in the pan. Cook until a little bit crunchy. Pan fried Ramen goodness!

I eat it all ways. Regular way, the way Darq eats it like soup, dried saimin (we call it saimin here, not ramen), and I can eat that shet for breakfast lunch and dinner if it weren't for the fact that it's like 100% daily fat and there are THREE SERVINGS to a packet. That's on my favorite brand anyway, I dunno about other the crappy brands. Sapporo Ichiban is the only one worth eating.

Now I like the fresh noodle Miso Saimin by Sun Noodle that they sell at Costco. Good stuff with thinly sliced spam and fishcake. That takes considerably longer to make than 2 minutes though.

Really sick here, that's all I have been eating, well besides my smuggled crumpets from UK.

Good thing daughter likes Ramen too because that is about the only thing I have in the house atm. Smiley: grin

Here are some interesting ramen salad recipes. I had ramen salad (oh, the Alanisesque irony) at a party once, and it wasn't half bad. I suspect it was the kind with cabbage.
