Ethiopian troops enter central SomaliaFollow

Is there a difference as to what is going on here versus what is going on in Iraq.

I admit I am Ignorant as to what has happend and what has been going on in Somalia.

big differance. kind of a complete opposite even though the players are the same, us and radical islam.

somalia was a pissant third world dirt hole in the desert with a DEMOCRACY led government that was as corrupt as any shanty town mayor in mexico. the government was pocketing the cash we and other aid agencies were giving them as the people were all destitute and starving.

muslims eventually filtered their way into the government and wanted to end teh corruption. but they didnt want to share thier bounty with non-muslims. eventually they gained controll of the government and the army and started weeding out the non-muslim people, ie, killing, burning, raping, and running out of the country.

that is what is going on at the moment. where as iraq was already a muslim country invaded by a non-muslim force.

now, in a desperate attempt to stifle the influence of radical islam on yet another front, and without getting directly involved, we pumped up the etheopian army with weapons and cash and pushed them to attack the radical muslim faction sweeping through samalia and that entire reagon.

in the meantime, hundreds of thousands of human beings are being butchered. its always the poor who pay the highest price in any war.

in the end, if by chance the etheopian army actually suceeds, we will have yet another cmininal gang of, most important here to us- NON-MUSLIM forces robbing aid sent for starving destitute people. they will be getting fat off our dollars while thousands of the people starve to death.

really, one is not any better than the other. pick a side.
