...advertisment at the top of the page with the woman's forearm being tattooed with the slogan, "Calculate New Payment" look like she's mainlining skag to you? It's as if she's run out of money from buying heroin and is looking to score some quick cash on the house before she sells her children into prostitution.

That's messed up.

On the other hand (er, arm), that would be an odd tattoo.

That's a given, FleaJo1, especially if it's a tramp stamp. But back to the topic at hand, the only thing missing in that ad is her yanking on a rubber strap wrapped around her bicep with her teeth or an unwashed spoon being heated over a candle.

I'm just not clear on what demographic this marketing is being aimed. Is it the $510,000 mortgage holder who has been using meth so that her productivity keeps up with her monthly note? Or is it the house flipper who is trying to slide into the opium abyss to escape the fact her house is worth $150,000 less than when she bought at the top of the housing boom?

The tat needle isn't connected to an ink bottle or pressure line, so it looks distinctly like a hypo to me.

Actually, the more I look at it, the needle looks for all the world like one of those wood burning tools us old timers got for birthday or Christmas presents back in the '70's. Now that's freaky. It's like she trying to give herself a keloid scar or something.

FYI - The EQ2 format temporarily has all adds blocked, even for non premium. If you can stomach the green background you dont have too look at adds no more.

Nah, I'm partial to the taupe background I've been staring at for years now. Switching to another game's color would prolly throw me off my game.

think lower. that skag is probably right on target for their target audiance.

people who think taking a second mortguage out to pay off unsecured debt is a good idea usually end up with a rubber hose tied around their arm and a needle in their hand.

would be better to file personel bankrupcy and settle for 20 to 30 cents on the dollar and end up with 7 years bad credit than risk the only asset you have in your name to pay off unsecured debt you accumilated because of your lack of self controll with spending. a lack that will rack up more unsecured debt as soon as you pay off the old stuff.

90 percent of people who take out loans to pay off credit card debt end up with maxed credit cards again within a year of paying them off. a statistical fact.

my wife is one such person. she had "9" maxed credit cards when i met her. her minimum payments were over 900 dollars a month. after getting married, i had to deal with them before i could buy a house. 20,000 dollars from my 401k plan later.......she had "1" credit card with only a 3000 dollar limit. it was maxed within a year. we paid it off at the end of the year. doing so, the bank increased her limit to 5000. within a year, it was maxed. after alot of "discussing", we paid it off again. doind so the bank graciously increaded her limit to 7000. yep, within a year, it was maxed.

i told her never again. she is on her own. several years later, and credit limit bumps for being a good sucker....err....paying customer, she has a 11,000 credit limit and its maxed. se will have that...one.....maxed credit card for the rest of her life or as long as she is married to me. i will NEVER pay it off again. NEVER.

it is cheper to let her make minimum payments than to pay it off and have her make an additional 10,000 dollars in charges AND have to make minimum payments.

some people have no controll. no self dicipline. just because you CAN buy that cool whatever, doesnt mean you SHOULD. if you dont have cash, dont buy it. period. no ifs, no buts. no cash, no buy. a credit card should be considered like insurance. a just in case thing for emergancies only. if you cant controll it, cancell it.
