Question about the Zombie ApocalypseFollow

I suppose the main thing would be exactly what type of zombies they were? Are we talking corpses reanimated by magic/evil spirits? In that case the motive force is with the outside influence. Basically you would be fighting a manniquin controlled by someone else. For freezing to have an effect you would have to be able to freeze the controlling entity? Dunno if that would be considered a true zombie, but to overcome those you would basically have to destroy the body entirely.

Maybe not a TRUE zombie, but at the very least a DMV employee.

Why would you freeze a zombie? Babies take up less space in the freezer and make better protein shakes.

If you blanch the zombie first (about 45 secs in scalding water), immediately put it into a Glad Zip-loc freezer bag and then into the freezer you should have a perfectly good zombie when you thaw it out.

Never re-freeze.

Discussion about what would you do if zombies started popping up. I stated that I would move north (even further north) because a) less people and b) Winter 8 months of the year would greatly increase chance of survival since they would be frozen (or hopefully dead due to asploded brain cells).

Then of course there was discussion over whether zombies would actually freeze or not and voila, a poll was born!

I suppose a zombie could drink antifreeze and not worry aobut it killing them, then they wouldn't freeze. But would a zombie be smart enough to do that on its own?

They wouldn't have a functioning cirulatory system to distribute the antifreeze.

Back to the drawing board with you!

Maybe if you made jello shots with antifreeze. Ooh I think I may have come up with the next cheap high that kids are doing these days.

Nah, the spongy necrotic tissue would suck up the antifreeze just fine!

If the corpse was emblamed using modern techniques, they are already essentially filled with antifreeze.

What they should do is when they bury people they cut all the ligaments so if they do come back as zombies, they would just flop around on the floor not mocing. That would teach em!

Bury them and leave em their for archaeologists to dig them up hundreds of years later and get bitten. This is just another step in your nefarious plot to destroy the discipline of archaelology.

Damn crafty creationist!

Here I was wondering if you were thinking of trying your hand at writing a story. This poll is awfully remiscent of the kind of things my fiction-writing friends will throw out there as topics of discussion when they're trying to get a story premise worked out in their minds.

Maybe because it's a movie? We're not interested in fantasy right now, we're focusing on the very real threat of zombies and how to better gird ourself for their rise.

Sheesh, idiot.

edit to fix crappy spelling of movie title. Double idiot.

Because if there, IS Zombies.. then there WOULD be Souls... so----

actually... that might be true.. if the entire explaination of Zombifacation is some biological virus or something rather than like necromancy type zombies..

hmm
