No queues on my server, and nice people too. The rest of you are just gluttons for punishment I suppose.

I've not pre-ordered, but here in the sticks of TN, it shouldn't be too hard for the hubby and me to pick up a couple of copies.

My copy is already paid for, I just have to stop by Game Stop and pick it up after work. I probably won't play it for a while though. I want to wait for the dust to settle and for things to slow down a bit.

Terenas also has a large queue. I tried to log in the other day and was 345 or something. Another reason to be patient and wait a while to start playing the expansion.

Oh very cool, I didn't know you were on Silver Hand. What's your toon(s)'s name(s)? Thanks for the kind offer - it totally sucks starting over, as having experienced that on Shadow Council and Anetheron - (thanks again to Aadynn, Aegis, and Neph for helping out my toons there!)

We have a couple of humans that we just started up last weekend (pally and a mage) to hopefully start earning some coin for our impending Draenei toons. We're also going to make a couple of Belfs as well.

Look for Gronkus (300 Axesmith) or Deemer (300 Dragonscale Leatherworker) horde-side. Got a couple alliance-side toons I never play anymor too - Nyzzmo and Jeffrey. Easier to help you out horde-side.

I've been trying to level up on Anatheron, but I am finding that I f'ucking hate PvP retards. WTF is your life like if you can think of nothing better to do on a Friday night than sit in a level 25 zone ganking the sh;t out of people 35 levels lower than you for giggles?

I am so gonna do that as payback when I hit 60.

Uh huh. Except your "payback" won't be on the people who are griefing you now. They were griefed when they were 25 too, you know.

PvP servers are so realistic they even model the patterns of sex offenders.

Sounds good, thanks! I'll send you a pm here once we have our Horde toons up. Silver Hand (at least on Alliance side) seems pretty cool - folks are helpful and we got lots of drive-by buffs. Refreshing to see.

It's actually nice to have a few servers to play on as a way to avoid long queues or at least pick the shortest queues.

I'll still be working on my pally and hunter dwarves on Shadow Council (in fact, my wife is moving her old level 47 hunter dwarf from Argent Dawn (our first server) to Shadow Council for my pally to group with when I catch up in levels.

I haven't been on Antheron as much as I should - I usually log on there to see if Aadyn, Demea/Twiz, Darqflame or Nobby are on - but I haven't seen them online lately, so I hop back on to Shadow Council where I can regale Neph and Aegis of all the horrific ways I get my toon killed - i.e., chatting with Neph and auto-running my toon off a mountain... Yep....Roniath and I are up and moving on Shadow Council with a great bunch of RPers.

Moved my horde to Skywall to be with Ron's horde and his RL buddy.

Queues will die down when all the kiddies go back to school, then skyrocket when BC drops, then return to normal in November of next year.

ill be getting two copy,s. both my kids want it. if they sell only 5 million copy,s instead of 7 million, thats a whopping 200,000,000 dollar cash infusion for Blizzard within the next few months at 40 bucks a pop.

wow. thats alot of bucks. bet sony is crying a river about now, cursing the day they decided to cater to the top end crowd instead of the casual market. wouldnt want to be the guy in charge of EQ2,s development when blizard starts handing out the bonuses for what will surely be the largest cash infusion any MMORPG as ever seen for an expansion. bonuses probably larger than the entire budget for EQ2.

nope, wouldnt want to be that guy. mabe sigil will pick him up after his boss comes down and rips his **** a new one for not getting a piece of that action before firing him with extreme prejudice.

the private sector is a boitch.

I didnt pre-order so im hoping that one of the two best buys near me will have enough at release. ill go knocking on the door when they open to grab one...

Smog, your link Costs 20$ more then Best Buy

Edit: i take back the costs more... i didnt see it in CAD.. not USD....

Whats the conversion?

Edit #2: With the USD conversion its still more expensive. add shipping in there and ill take my chances with the Best Buy.

I don't mind the little extra for the piece of mind of knowing I'll be guaranteed a copy - I even shelled out a little more for the DHL shipping (like 22.50 more Canadian).

Also, keep in mind you can't even pre-order on the Best Buy or anywhere else in the US that I know of (i.e., EB, Gamestop, Best Buy, or Amazon currently). I don't think the CE will be available for any more pre-orders at this point in the US from what I've seen on various forums. If anyone can find info to the contrary, it's all good - my research wasn't all that intensive, heh.

Good luck, bud! I rarely pre-order anything myself, but since my wife got the WoW CE when it came out, I really wanted to snag the BC CE this time around. Hell, mine won't even arrive probably until around the 19th or 20th (which, as mentioned, may not be exactly a bad thing after all).

You know with all the stores (Fry's, Best Buy, CompUSA, EB, Circuit City etc.) in the Bay Area, I have never pre-ordered a game and have always gotten a copy on day of release. Smiley: grin

Side note: Never pre-order from CompUSA if you want it day of release. They have central regional warehouses where the software companies ship to and it takes another day or two to get to the stores. I think CompUSA bought out Curcuit City too so they may have the same issue. Best Buy and Fry's always seems to have the games on the release date though.

I have heard pre-order horror stories where the online vendor could not gauruntee the amount of copies they promised and the people ended up waiting weeks.

One freind of mine went and bought it at the store and they would not let him cancel his pre-order online so he ended up with 2 copies eventually.

I'm going to take my chances at the local Best Buy.

We get to see if these new servers are worth the $20 we paid that crazy goat smelling guy from india for them on that day. Should be... entertaining to say the least.

Wish I'd run into this thread earlier. DVDBoxOffice.com seems to be out of stock on CEs.

Oh well. I'll live without the little extras(and can spend the money I'll save on a strategy guide Smiley: grin).

Was in a 900ish queue the other day. Smiley: motz
Blizz is talking about splitting my realm in half.

Edit: Where'd you order your copy of the strat guide? I can't find any that aren't pre-order only.

I noticed last night that on the main WoW page they have the CE on sale for a limited time - I'd link it, but for some reason, I get errors when trying to get to the main WoW site on my work computer. Smiley: banghead

Yeah heard about the realm splitting - 'bout damn time they did something about the queue situation.

Actually, I ordered the strat guide through Electronics Boutique as a pre-order. I liked what I've seen so far in the guide. We'll be able to see how accurate it is once we can actually play the expansion content. Also, there are some great Penny Arcade comics in the guide like in the original strategy guide.

I saw that myself. They sold out before I found it though.

Ah, I see. Alrighty, I guess I'll have to pre-order it somewhere(rush shipping Smiley: smile).

I called Game Stop yesterday to see if they would be opening at midnight. They are! So guess who is staying up past her bedtime on Monday night? Oh yeah, Tuesday will be rough, but it will all be worth it. :-)

I'm a weak man.

A guy I work with who happens to live in the same building as me went out to do the midnight WoW:TBC purchase, I told him to pick me up a copy.
