until the release of The Burning Crusade. So who's picking up a copy?

If anyone is interested in the Burning Crusade Collector's Edition, I found it still available for ordering on DVDBoxOffice.com (Canada site). No problems ordering it from the US (San Francsico, CA here).

I pre-ordered a regular copy a few weeks back. Now I can send my regular version of the expansion pack to my 13 year old nephew, who I just bought the original game for this past Christmas.

I pre-ordered with 2-day shipping. I reckon it'll be at least that long before it's playable.

Yeah, everyone's predicting mucho unplayability upon release - it's ok though, my CE won't be available until 1/17 (according to where I ordered it from) and it will take a few days to be delivered to me as well.

Ahh well - I'll take the time to read my BC strategy guide (it arrives sooner, supposedly), fire up my X-Box 360, finish reading my current book, or stare longingly out the window for the delivery of my Burning Crusade. Smiley: cry

I've been playing off and on when I have a moment but I'll most likely steer clear of BC and the game itself for a little while once its out due to the insane amount of people who will be logging in. Im already getting a queue of over 250 on Shadow council when I try to log in now

I logged in and have been playing with my brother of all people.

The game looks like *** compared to eq2 and the combat seems so much slower. I didnt even enjoy taking my hunter into AB the other day. Felt like I was playing with molasses.

Queues are teh suck. My wife is sick of Feathermoon's queues and Shadow Council's queues are getting worse. We've been looking at some of the PST RP servers that have on average Medium populations for starting up our Draenei and Blood Elves. Right now we're looking at Silver Hand and Sentinel. Then again, Silver Hand had a small queue the other night. Still, they aren't as bad as Argent Dawn and Feathermoon. At least not yet...

I loathe queues.

Come to Silverhand I will help twink you.

Longest queue I have been in on Silverhand was 5 min on a Friday. I think the queues are more an issue with login servers than the game servers. Once I get on I dont seem to have any lag.

I'm waiting to see how my upgrades (now at 2Gig RAM and new vid card ATI x1600 512MB) will handle the lag beast that will be born in the Draenei and Blood Elf start locations.

Oh very cool, I didn't know you were on Silver Hand. What's your toon(s)'s name(s)? Thanks for the kind offer - it totally sucks starting over, as having experienced that on Shadow Council and Anetheron - (thanks again to Aadynn, Aegis, and Neph for helping out my toons there!)

We have a couple of humans that we just started up last weekend (pally and a mage) to hopefully start earning some coin for our impending Draenei toons. We're also going to make a couple of Belfs as well.

I will wait a few weeks, I am in no big rush. I tried a different server a few months ago when a lot of servers were down and it was a zoo. I will let the mania cool down a bit first.

I will be picking it up at EB upon release. I also joined a new PvP-centric guild that has many awesome members, nearly all of which I like. We plan to re-roll on the first PvP server released, march to 70, then dominate the arena, battlegrounds, Outland, and A
zeroth. Should be a blast.

Glad to help, Dana! I'm very happy to have stumbled upon that myself. My wife has the collector's edition of WoW, so now it's my turn to get the spiffy CE for the expansion.

Tarv, that's the cool thing about the expansion - not only can you get current level 60 toons to 70, but there's all kind of goodness for all levels.

Here's some of the rundown of the expansion's features:

Quote:
Here is just a partial list of what you can expect from the World of Warcraft expansion:

* An increase in the level cap to 70
* Two new playable races, including the magical Blood Elves
* New starting zones in Quel'Thalas and beyond
* The entire new continent of Outland, reachable through the Dark Portal
* Many new high-level dungeons to explore in Azeroth, Outland, and elsewhere
* New flying mounts in Outland
* Many new and dangerous monsters, including epic world bosses
* Hundreds of new quests
* Hundreds of new items
* A new profession: Jewelcrafting
* Socketed items

Horde now gets to have paladins (you have to be a Blood Elf though) and Alliance now get to have shaman (you have to be a Draenei).

I've been trying to level up on Anatheron, but I am finding that I f'ucking hate PvP retards. WTF is your life like if you can think of nothing better to do on a Friday night than sit in a level 25 zone ganking the sh;t out of people 35 levels lower than you for giggles?

I am so gonna do that as payback when I hit 60.

Exactly why I refuse to play PvP on this game.
Most games require a little bit more intelligence than this one...

Uh huh. Except your "payback" won't be on the people who are griefing you now. They were griefed when they were 25 too, you know.
