Creating made-to-order babies with genetic defects would seem to be an ethical minefield, but to some parents with disabilities - say, deafness or dwarfism - it just means making babies like them.

Was reading the paper this morning and stumbled across this little article. I think this is horrid. I don't know where I stand on modifying the genes in favor of a child to possibly prevent diseases, or increase chance of a hair color etc. But to actually take away a persons chance to ever hear the beautiful sounds of the world? This is just evil and selfish in my books.

Not to mention all the possible adverse health effects you might be causing them in the future by altering their genetic code. I had to start reading the article over in disbelief of what I read in the first few paragraphs.

I know, talk about being biased against Dwarfism. ******* elves with their disposable gloves. And don't worry about it, Princess Diana has got point.

You answer rhetorical questions too? You must have an action figure coming out soon.

See you even go and ruin a decent quote from Spinal Tap. Smiley: oyvey

You're going to need to try harder if you wish to quote the immortal words of Emeril Lagasse.

Your mother told me I'm not that old
I told her I'm not that young either.

So is it serious now?

Have fun with that. I could post a pic of my mom that would kill the mood for you awfully fast. Unless you like semi-ugly, obese 55 year old women.

Oh and I stopped caring what people say or claim to do to her back in high school. Seems someone still has a bit of growing up to do. Smiley: lol
