I got an A- in both of my classes! Go go me!

How did you other schooly folks make out? Taking anything good in the spring?

Finished fall quarted with a 3.4 GPA. Would have been higher, but I suck at drawing and just managed to pull a C+ in that class.

Quote:
Taking anything good in the spring winter quarter?
Color Theory 2
Drawing 2
Art History 2
Digital Fundamentals - Adobe Illustrator
Web Design 2

Spring:
Color Theory 3
Drawing 3
Art History 3
Digital Fundamentals -3d Modeling
Web Design 3

After that, I get to take interesting stuff since the "foundation" courses are out of the way.

Those sound like some fun classes! We don't have a winter session anymore, just a three week break between fall and spring. I'll have two classes in the spring, one class and begin working on my thesis in the summer, then one more class and finish working on my thesis in the fall...defense, then done next December if all goes well!

Yeah, Ohio State schools are funny like that. They all run on the "10 week quarter" system. It is nice because I can go to school year round if I choose.

And you are lucky to be nearing completion. I have another full year of school, then 3 years of alternating quarters of school and internships. It is nice to graduate with 1.5 years of work experience, but another 4.5 years of "school" is going to be a *****...

I assume this must be for an undergraduate degree then?

Is there anything you can test out of to move things along at all? You can't take any classes while you're doing your internships?

No. The program is rather rigid and the powers that be do not look favorably on people trying to accelerate their studies.

I ***** about it, but this is the stuff I want to be doing, so I am ultimatley fine with it.

Don't you just love when those NFL broadcaster position run-downs try and rip on some black dude with no college degree. I salute those with the courage to give a lil F-U School of Hard Knocks back at them. Communications? Yeah, we understand.

A- in Philosophy and B- in World History. I have English 151 (Writing Rhetoric) and History 181 (Intro East Asian Civ, fulfills an ethnicity requirement) to look forward to in the spring.

Among the many books we're reading for English are In Cold Blood and Persepolis, looking forward to those.

I still need to pick one class in the spring...I'm leaning toward Advanced Feminist Theory (smirk). I'm already taking an independant study as one of my classes.

Nexa

Edit: And good job to you Wint!

Congrats you guys on your grades. Done with school myself so nothing to report. But I am planning to get my certification in Intellectual Property Law and Practices once I move back to San Diego. That will take a year.

k, you /whooshed me not once, but twice, in the same post. I think you would be awesome in Advanced Feminist Theory, especially if you spoke your mind. Get the boyfriend to bake cookies in the early AM for the class. Preferably, TollHAWSE. :P
