What are you turds doing to ring in the New Year? Any exciting plans? The Mr. and I are going over to our friends' place and hanging out there. There will be cards, plenty of booze, chinese food and hot tubbing. No booze or 'tubbin for me though. Smiley: frown

I guess I'll just try to stay awake until midnight. And not go into labor.

Yay!

copy & paste from Angsty's forum

I was never a huge New Years fan myself, nor is the wifey. Its a night out that falls into the same category as St Pats, amateur night. We will probably just hang with some friends, down lots o' beer and fUck the night away (me and the wife, not the friends). The only thing I like about New Years is that its a day off from work and thats worth 8x the experience of crowded bars filled with drunken morons.

Leaving tonight for a long weekend with the boyfriend...we'll be heading into Boston for New Year's Eve stuffs.

I've never really done anything for New Year before, so I'm looking forward it (despite being somewhat skeptical that I can handle staying up that late...I'm so OLD!).

So he's a "the" object of security? Mighty patriotic of you to give your support to the Hooked Up Act. But if you're going into Boston I recommend one of the 1-2 hour cruises, it's el nino warmish enough, and makes for good pictures at sunset. I've got some Audrey Hepburn-ish proofs if you'd like to take a gander. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and he'll play Leonardo for you.

Half the time I think you just use some sort of random-phrase generator to post...other times I just think you're ******* crazy. Maybe it's a combination.

I was invited to a private party, but I have it on fairly good authority that the invitee is fairly slutty. I don't think I would enjoy that party, and if I did I would probably wake up the next morning regretting it. Instead I think I will go visit my bartender friend, get way too drunk, and then pee on someone.

We're blissfully doing boring stuff this year - having brunch or lunch (I never know the details until the last minute) with family at a nice restaurant then knocking out some shopping. Pretty much the rest of the evening will be spent gaming on my X-Box 360 or WoW. I will be imbibing my Guinness Draught and listening to Classic FM (UK radio) whilst slaying beasties and nasties to my heart's content.

Then, Mrs. Smoggy and I will get our freak on...the next morning. We're morning freaky-deaky-doers. Smiley: tongue

More than I needed to know.

I was invited to a party in Gilroy, but I doubt I'll go. There are way too many hicks in Gilroy that think its cool to shoot their guns in the air. Don't want to be out on the patio chatting up some girl when the bullets come back down.

Probabbly just hang with some friends.

I have no idea yet. We're going out somewhere, but not sure where. Somewhere close, probably just to have a couple of drinks.

Heading to San Diego for NYE, for the purpose of looking at a house and possibly putting an offer on it. We have our eye on 2 different houses and decided to put an offer on one and if the offer isn't accepted or negotiations fall through, we'll put an offer on the second, if it's still on the market.

Edit: Forgot to say Happy New Year everyone. Have a safe and fun time!

Jonwin has to work, since the ship is one of those places that seem to draw in party goer's, who are willing to pay more for a veiw of the fireworks at mid-night.

I have no plans, but staying home and hoping that the guns going off around here don't keep me awake half the night.

I am trying to go to Times Square, but things are still up in the air. The weather may also play a factor, cold and wet isn't too much fun, dry and mild would be so much better.
