no more free month....Follow

#1 Dec 28 2006 at 12:03 PM Rating: Default
yep, tried to log on to EQ2 today and it said i do not have an active account.

it has been less than 3 weeks since i bought the EoF expansion that came with a free month. not to mention my account listed a free month as a veteran reward. i should be good for atleast one more week on the expansion alone and 5 more weeks if you count the veterans reward.

so go complain to sony?

bah. saw all of EoF that was available for an under 30 casual player in the first week. both zones. so im finnished with EQ2 again anyway, just kind of irks me they stole 1 week from me from the expansion purchase irreguardless of weather i actually still want to play it or not. ill check up on them again in another year, after 3 more expansions to look at the under 30 casual gamer content from them. mabe 2 more zones, who knows, mabe they will figure out where the money really is and make 4, i might actually pay for a month to see it all then.

they have a release date for the WoW expansion yet? i see the pre order boxes are out.

I always thought SOE was just kidding when they said you get 30 days free. They never gave me my 30 days free with my purchase of EQ or EQ2 and my former roommate didn't get his free 30 days with SWG either.

They always ask up front for a credit card, but they won't bill it until the end of your free month. At least, that's always how it worked for me.

FYI- 30 day free trial only available to new station accounts. If you have an existing EQ2 account you get diddly squat. Lern 2 read nubs!

Holy shit, what a chizzler. First you deprive your wife of satalite radio because $13 a month is too expensive, and now you are griping because you can't play EQ2 for free? Aren't you an air traffic controller? What are you spending your money on? Coke and prostitutes?

I canceled my Sony station pass (where I can play most of their games for only $21 a month). I haven't played EQ2 for about a 4 months - I was waiting to see if Vanguard would make the station pass worthwhile upon Vanguard's release. Sadly, after checking out Vanguard in beta, it really isn't for me. It was the final nail in the coffin for keeping the station pass account.

So I removed EQ, SWG, EQ2, and Vanguard off my system. Also, I removed LoTRO. WoW has made me its ***** again...well, when Gears of War on my X-Box 360 isn't having it's way with me. I'm really looking forward to the Burning Crusade expansion to check out the Draenei and Blood Elves. It's going to have to keep me entertained until Warhammer Online comes out...unless that ends up sucking...but I'm hopeful that won't happen.

Look me up on Shadow Council in WoW if you feel like playing again and want to hang out. I'll either be Smoggy, Snorre, or Whiffy on the Alliance side. Does anyone know if they have cross-server chat functionality in WoW like they do in EQ2?

Don't think they have cross server chats. Possible but I dont remember them. I have a priest going over on a PvP server playing with my brother and my EQ2 account is dormant right now because I have no clue what i am going to be doing.

VG looks bunk and the more I hear about it the more it sounds like it is going to be having a rough release. LOTRO doesnt do a thing for me.

I picked up a ps2 dirt cheap and have been playing FFXII, Kingdom Hearts and MGS 3.

13 bucks a month? thats like saying a cell phone is only 39 bucks a month. lets see, 2 cars, thats 26 bucks a month, god forbid you dont get it in your house, thats 39 bucks a month, wait, whatr about the new portable? now were up to 52 bucks a month......plus the cost of the recievers that are absolutly worthless when you stop paying.......

all the while you get it for free on cable and can find it for free on the internet.

kind of like paying a monthly subscription for tivo, when you can just plug your tv into your video card and do the same thing for free........

most of my money goes to my house. 8000 a year in taxes, currently 6000 a year in insurance which is going up to 9000 a year this year in insurance thanks to our republican legislature who bends over and greeses up every time the insurance company lobbiests come to town. not counting the actual mortguage and interest. and i dont live in a mansion. just a plain jane 3/2 in a decent area.

and some blood sucker wants another 30 to 50 bucks a month? for something i can get for free? bite me.

on star? use your cell phone and look up where your stupid **** is going BEFORE you get in the car. for free.

you can only have so many leeches sucking your blood out. its not even funny. i make good money, i dont see how people with average incomes are making it at all. and yet, while they are getting their homes repossesed, i bet they are calling their bankrupcy lawyer on their cell phone while tooling down the road listening to xm radio and asking directions to their onstart operator......

Well, fucker, assuming that you needed it in both of your cars and your home, it would cost you $20 a month. $13 for the initial unit, $7 for an additional unit, and you could get it at home for free via the computer. You could even use your shitty replay program to record, I assume. This was all explained in the XM or Sirius thread that you had to chime in on, but I guess you have the comprehension ability of a brick. I'm really, genuinly suprised that more planes don't collide in mid air.

This is the same guy whose idea of blissful paradise is running away from his wife and kids to play video games on a boat. Do you really think he'd pony up $13 for the poor woman?
