It is my very great pleasure to introduce Ambrya 2.0

Baby is very healthy and EXTREMELY active, with no anatomical indictors of possible defects. Baby was also extremely cooperative with our efforts to ascertain the sex, flashing the camera like a bona fide exhibitionist, but unfortunately the equipment just wasn't up the the task of getting a completely unambiguous image.

As it is, the doc who performed the scan is calling it a 70% chance we have a boy. So it looks like our decorating scheme is going to be gender neutral, because 70% isn't certain enough for us to really feel confident with either a girl or boy motif. But for now, I'm going to be using the pronoun "him" just because that's a better option than "it."

WOOT!

Now never believe the dr's til the kid pops out seriously. Kailey was a "boy" until about two weeks before delivery and the dr announced "I see labia!" whilst doing a sonogram before putting my in hospital for torture.

Congratulations hon, it's always a relief to hear that all looks well, even if you had no reason to believe otherwise!

Thanks. BTW, hereafter "he" will also be referred to as Tristan Scott. If "he" turns out to be "she" then she will be Schuyler Elizabeth.

I started to read this thread and thought for a sec that you'd already had the kid. I was about to freak about at how fast time was passing.

I hope it continues to go well with no complications.

Yes, the traditional spelling of what people now phoneticize as "Skyler" (yuck!) It's Dutch--it means scholar.

If you've ever seen the "Anne of Green Gables" miniseries produced by the CBC and frequently aired on PBS, the dark-haired woman who plays Anne's best friend Diana is named Schuyler Grant which is where I first fell in love with the name way back when I was a teenager. Apparently, Sissy Spacek's daughter is also named Schuyler.

Thank you, and LOL...no, here at only 18 weeks, if I'd given birth, there wouldn't be any celebrating going on whatsoever. But it's fun to get to share baby's first pictures.

Actually from the way he was moving around during the scan, more like a mexican jumping bean than garbonzo, lol.

But yeah, the dome is definitely pretty prominent.
