I did this a couple years back and everyone seemed to like the idea, so anyways, what is your favourite part of the holidays?

I like turkey, I am just a turkey kind of guy. The presents can be pretty awesome too. I know for my brother its putting up the christmas lights all around the house with those plastic deer whose head bobs up and down.

Cheers! And a merry christmas to you all.

Sitting down for Prime Rib, with my family.

I'm drooling already at the thought.

Mmm...beer.

Y'know, I've never been much of a drinker. At the age of 32, I can count on one hand the number of times I've actually been drunk. To say I have a drink once every other month is a gross overestimate, and I almost never drink beer, because I just don't like it very much. When I do have a beer, it's usually a good microbrew, like Widmer Heffeweizen. As far as stuff like Coors or Bud or whatever goes--pour it back in the horse already.

In the last month or so, however, I have REALLY been wanting a beer (a good one, not the swill.) I know that having one not likely to hurt anything, but as a matter of principle, it's better not to risk it. I don't know why, of all the times in my life, now is the time when I want a beer, but there it is. Now every time the subject comes up, I get the craving.

The moment when I'm faced with a gigantic plate full of mashed potatoes and gravy. I swear I can eat enough at this time of year to tide me over until July.

It's different for every Dr and medical opinion you ask, but I have never seen a glass here and there to be something to worry about. IN fact, towards the end of your pregnancy, a glass of red a night is good to help induce labor ;) Many say not one glass of alcohol for the whole pregnancy but its the same as having the Dr in the room to catch the baby when its born: really, its only to cover their asses. So if you're craving a beer, as long as you act responsibly and have one, I see no reason why you can't fill that craving.

In short term, go for it, savor it, and then continue on ;)
