Everyone have their Christmas shopping done yet? Started? Thought about it?

I'm down to just getting a few minor gifts for Flea (the major gift is bought and wrapped) and that should be it for me. This will be a new record for me since I'm usually just thinking about buying gifts at this point. The fact that we're headed across country for the holidays probably helped motivate me to get my ducks in a row.

Now to just finish wrapping... Smiley: dubious

For the first year Mrs. Totem & I have done our shopping two months ahead of Christmas. Easy peasy. Can't believe I didn't do this decades ago.

I've got my shopping done. Nothing wrapped yet. We have a tradition of trying to disguise the contents of gifts (not all of them, just one or two) So i'm in process of building the casings and noisemakers.

I hit it hard tonight. Suprisingly the stores weren't as bad as I had thought they'd be. I got most of it done, just have 1 more local gift to buy and a couple I'm going to do on-line tomorrow and hope for the best that they get to the destination by the end of this week.

Been too busy with finals and work. Got about half of my shopping done this past weekend, and the rest will be done probably tomorrow or Tuesday.

Just one more present to buy. Tattoo gift certificate for my brother.

I usually don't get shopping done until the 20th or later. This year is a nice change of pace.

Pretty much everything got purchased Saturday night with the exception of the gift for the better behaved half. We stuffed everything in a closet though as neither of us like wrapping. All we stuffed rolls of paper and tape in there too just in case the mice feel ambitious.

I tried getting most of my gifts bought early on so I didnt have to worry about them now. However, there have been a couple odds and ends I just finished buying last night, stocking stuffers and the like. Almost everything is wrapped though

Money fell kinda funny this month, so I have to do it this weekend with this upcoming paycheck. I wish I could have done it sooner though, I've had bad experiences when dealing with other last minute shoppers.

All my gifts bought and wrapped as of Saturday, although a few minor stocking stuffers are due to arrive Tuesday. I had to get some of these for the kiddies, and I've got two toys in transit for Joph Jr. and my nephew.

I'll be doing the last minute thing again this year. Had a few unexpected expenses a while back, so that put me behind. Besides, you can sometimes find some really good deals right before Christmas.

"Buying christmas pressies before Dec 23rd makes baby Jesus cry." --ParaB

Buying Christmas presents at all makes baby Muhammed cry-- but mostly 'cuz he's jealous that Muzzies didn't think of making a special day for him. Perhaps they might make a day where rugs are sold at 60% off or something in honor of when he flew around A-rabland on his pimped out and tassled ride scoping out other caliph's harem hotties through 3rd story windows.

I did that one year, and never again. Not the way I wrap.
