Grats.

Make sure to pull him out of the freezer a few hours to thaw before you throw him in the microwave.

Congo rats!

Since you guys opted against the ole "Doc Martin to the belly", there is now the difficult choice between shaking, smothering, and backing your van into a body of water with the baby inside.

I would go with option 3!

Where is the baby registry? My wife makes me buy shit for people's children that I have never interacted with, so I figure this is payback time...

That is too cute. Reminds me of a picture posted on the bulletin board at the midwifery school I'm attending. The baby is wearing only a cloth diaper with a diaper cover, which is black with white snaps and looks to be made out of something shiny.

So one day I'm walking past and see this picture and point it out to one of my classmates: "Look! It's the Leather Baby!"

This devolved into a discussion about how all he needs is a little cat o' nine in one hand and a little pair of handcuffs in the other for the picture to be complete.

But I digress. GRATS DSD!!!! He's absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't say he looks pissed, though he definitely does seem rather unimpressed with having been thrust from his warm, quiet, dark floaty home and into the cold, bright, loud world.

Congrats also on such a quick and easy labor (not to mention natural by the sounds of it! No wonder his APGAR was so high! Not that you had time for anything else, but YAY!!!)

Huh, there's probably a market for Thetan-B-Gone room spray for the nursery.

Thetan? Did I unintentionally make a Scientology reference or something?

That's actually my husband's favorite joke. Whenever we watch a birth video or something similar, he's always commenting on how rude the transition must be for the baby, complete with Bruce Willis impersonation, "Put me back! Put me back!"

No, Ambrya. What you said just reminded me of the whole Tom Cruise insisting on silence during the birth of his daughter so as not to disturb her aura, or whatever the hell.

So I thought, room spray for the nursery. Thetan-B-Gone. Simple.
