While we haven’t seen any new Hot Coffee lawsuits for some time, another one has surfaced right in the backyard of GamePolitics.

Today’s Philadelphia Inquirer reports that a man named John Robinson is suing Take-Two, publisher of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. As the newspaper describes it:

Two years ago, John Robinson bought his son a copy of the game, which later was found to contain scenes of simulated sex. When he learned of said smut, Robinson confiscated the game from his son, who, the suit says, was 20 or 21 at the time. His suit… seeks damages because consumers were not offered refunds.

I honestly can't form a coherent sentence to aptly describe the stupidity of this situation. My brain was asphyxiated for several minutes after reading this, so now I are having the dumb.

OMG, people in America will sue for anything now... thank you 80s and the fools who started all of this BS and the beginning of the end for the US legal system, raise in all kinds of rates including medical, bloody fools those adults were then and still are today.

take responsibility for your actions, do not blame others for your mistakes.

I still lived at home when I was 21, but I was going to school full time, so that makes it ok. :-) Anyway, I believe there is a rating on the game that "warns" parents about the content. And no one will accept a refund two years after you bought the product, unless it's a major appliance and it came with a warranty. This dad is being very over-protective of his adult son, or he's just an idiot. I'm not sure which.
