Rev. Paul Barnes is a pastor in a Colorado mega church. He, like most other Evangelical leaders, happens to suffer from the "Choice" of homosexuality. As in he occassional chooses to have sex with men. The difference between Barnes and other more notable homosexual evangelic leaders like Haggard (who last month was busted purchasing meth and sleeping with a male prostitute) is that Barnes has gone out of his way through his entire career to avoid politics. Not entering debates on same sex marriage, not criticizing homosexuals etc.

He was publicly outted, resigned all over the weekend. The burning question is; why hasn't the liberal media jumped on this story.

Gbaji clearly pointed out the reverse hate of the Liberal media in their attacks on Mark Foley and Haggard over the last couple months. How the seemingly **** friendly left has attacked members of the right for being boy touching man lovers.

Why not attack Barnes though? He is an evangelical conservative? He has smoked the flesh pole. Why not blare it across the front page of news sites in scrolling yellow and red news alert text? Perhaps it is because the liberal media was not attacking a homosexual but rather lashing into something all of us (even gbaji) detest. Hypocrites. Men who preach one thing and do another. Maybe this is why they aren't sensationalizing Barnes, because he never preached against it hatefully but dealt with quietly on his own. Perhaps we can sympathize with the man and his plight rather than wish to attack him.
