Quote:
Why are there women here dancing on their own?
Why is there this sadness in their eyes?
Why are the soldiers here
Their faces fixed like stone?
I can't see what it is that they despise

They're dancing with the missing
They're dancing with the dead
They dance with the invisible ones
Their anguish is unsaid
They're dancing with their fathers
They're dancing with their sons
They're dancing with their husbands
They dance alone They dance alone

It's the only form of protest they're allowed
I've seen their silent faces scream so loud
If they were to speak these words they'd go missing too
Another woman on a torture table; what else can they do

They're dancing with the missing
They're dancing with the dead
They dance with the invisible ones
Their anguish is unsaid
They're dancing with their fathers
They're dancing with their sons
They're dancing with their husbands
They dance alone They dance alone

One day we'll dance on their graves
One day we'll sing our freedom
One day we'll laugh in our joy
And we'll dance
One day we'll dance on their graves
One day we'll sing our freedom
One day we'll laugh in our joy
And we'll dance

Ellas danzan con los desaparecidos
Ellas danzan con los muertos
Ellas danzan con amores invisibles
Ellas danzan con silenciosa angustia
Danzan con sus pardres
Danzan con sus hijos
Danzan con sus esposos
Ellas danzan solas
Danzan solas

Hey Mr. Pinochet
You've sown a bitter crop
It's foreign money that supports you
One day the money's going to stop
No wages for your torturers
No budget for your guns
Can you think of your own mother
Dancing with her invisible son

They're dancing with the missing
They're dancing with the dead
They dance with the invisible ones
They're anguish is unsaid
They're dancing with their fathers
They're dancing with their sons
They're dancing with their husbands
They dance alone They dance alone

Almost worth the air-fare to Santiago to spit on his grave

I had a friend whose Dad died during Pinochet's era. It made me even angrier b/c the Reagan administration offered Pinochet support whereas they invaded Nicaragua. And they wonder why US foreign policy is seen as hypocritical when we make it like we are some kind of moral force for good to "defeat evil".

/bitter.

Hey, hey now.... it was all in the name of fighting communism. You remember the communists right? They were the evil-doers before the current evil-doers were doing evil. Okay, so we had to support a Facist(they were the evil-doers before the previoud crop of evil-doers were doing evil) to help halt the spread of communism. Its not as if we didn't help the communists at some point in order to help halt the spread of Facism.

If history is any example we will soon be supporting the terrorists in order to help halt the spread of democracy. Mark my words, it'll happen!

That's another big "whoopsie" that the US can write off its to-do list.

And yet another Christmas present from God!

Though it's kinda sick that God would celebrate the birth of his son by killing another human being, but that's God for you. Twisted, preverted, sadistic, but still nice sometimes.

Kinda like Nobby.

I haven't given up hope.

Pinochet deserved a worse death than what he got, but I can make the best of it. If only they had chopped off his hands like he had done to Victor Jara. *******.

Seriously.

The junta took the fingers from Victor Jara's hands
They said to the gentle poet, "Play your guitar now if you can."
Well, Victor started singing until they shot his body down
You can kill a man, but not a song when it's sung the whole world 'round.

How I'm missing yer
You're the Doctor of my dreams
With your crinkly hair and your glassy stare
And your machiavellian schemes
I know they say that you are very vain
And short and fat and pushy but at least you're not insane
Henry Kissinger
How I'm missing yer
And wishing you were here

Henry Kissinger
How I'm missing yer
You're so chubby and so neat
With your funny clothes and your squishy nose
You're like a German parakeet
All right so people say that you don't care
But you've got nicer legs than Hitler
And bigger tits than Cher
Henry Kissinger
How I'm missing yer
And wishing you were here
