I never thought 30 degrees would be balmy. Smiley: frown

So I'm living here in what I affectionately call "American Canada", and the weather the past week has put the fear of a new Ice Age into me. I think the coldest it ever got the 13 years I was in DC was 18 degrees and that was News. I've been through a couple of -1 degree days here (windchill, I hate you) and today is a lovely 35 degrees. I almost feel like it's Spring.

I should enjoy it though, cause tommorrow it's back to freezing.

Joph said natives ***** and complain about the weather but get through it, so I'm working hard on part 1 in hopes of part 2.

I don't bother with socks here until it hits 20. Hell, at 10 I'm just making the change over to pants from shorts.

Yeah, it's pretty cold today here at work, but at least it's a little warmer than back home! Brrrr! Smiley: grin

A summer spent, a winter earned.

I always sleep better during winter.

I was just happy today was sunny enough to melt most of the ice off the ground.

Have you huddled next to a wino to fit under an L station heat lamp yet?

41 today, feels like 37, and it felt.... warm. As in warm enough that I wondered if I really needed my coat. I think I'll blame pregnancy on this

Thank God no. I drive to and from work, so the most winceworthy moments are gassing up for the week and dashing to and from the three buildings we cover.

Today sucks ***. Coldest I've ever been in my life.

Arctic air continues to roll over the area with temperatures continuing to fall. Wind chill values from zero to 12 will be likely.

Oh Bob, quit bragging.

-9 (yes fahrenheit), minus 27 with the windchill. Yesterday was colder.

Weird, that happens around me at 90 degrees. Must be some other reason for it.

The difference is that you are canadian. Its supposed to be nut crunching cold up there. I am a native Californian. We are not made for temperatures with a "-" in front of them.
