I know, it's been too long blah blah blah. How's everyone doing? I've been busy as ever, but things are soon to be calming down hopefully. So, anyone have any big holiday plans? Anything major happening? Anyone leave for a better place in my absence?

Anyway, I just wanted to make my obligatory annual post to see how everyone's doing. Smooches! =)

E-hugs back atcha.

My brother's SO went to visit his parents in Cleveland for Thanksgiving and had a stroke while he was there, which was weird since he's not that old and has no history of high blood pressure. I thought it was an embolism caused by flying or something equally freakish; but it turns out to have been caused by a rare type of tumor on his adrenal cortex. Anyway he's getting treatment for that but is still suffering the residual effect of the stroke, and will need rehab and such; but the GOOD news is that I don't have to fly to Cleveland, least of all for a funeral.

Holiday funerals are so fraught.

And difficult to dress for. Do you wear your Rudolph sweater, or do you go with basic black?

Oh, and DSD is due to whelp any day; Tare is not far behind; and Ambrya is preggers for the first time and delightfully irrational as a result.

And the shoes, my God, the shoes. There ARE no good shoes for a Cleveland winter funeral. Mukluks are so hard to dress up, even if you dye them black.

Sam, you can never go wrong with black shoes. Although elf shoes might be acceptable if they have pointed toes with bells at the end.

Heya Sabo! How you doing? 11 days and counting before DSD spawn #2 arrives. Other than that, not much new. Whatcha been up to?

I thought Christmas was a time of Elves, not fairies. Smiley: dubious I think you've shown up for the wrong season.

I'm having a ring handcrafted to pop the question when the s/o shows up at the end of the month. Yes, the all important and life altering question: "What's your name again?"

Well, I'm currently living in Alabama, but things were a wash here, so this weekend the boyfriend and I are moving in with his parents in Georgia until we can get on our feet. Expect my brains to be splatterd on the walls by January 18th at the latest. But yes, I'm still with the same boy, two years and counting and things couldn't be better. Unfortunately, his company screwed him out of a raise he was supposed to be getting for moving here, and with the increased cost of living we couldn't afford to stay.

DSD, got any names in mind yet? And of course you realize you're under moral obligation to post pictures, along with the other expecting Allafemmes.

/wave at Sabo

Joph and I are getting hitched, work's insane, and Chicago is cold as allfuck.

How have you been?
#25 Dec 05 2006 at 1:22 PM Rating: Good
I'm ok. Slowly losing my sanity, but that's nothing new. Moving in with the inlaws this coming weekend is the main focal point of my life right now, and provided I don't off myself in some horrendous and tragic way, Nathan and I will eventually be getting a place with my best friend/*** hag Vicki, which is awesome. I'm still not working due to not having a driver's license, but once we move in with Nate's parents he'll be working half as much as he has been lately so hopefully we'll be able to go to the DMV.

Otherwise, things are ok. I fill my days with housework and WoW. I gave up on Shadow Council and moved to Steamwheedle Cartel, if any of you guys still play and happen to be on that server. Mostly I'm just biding my time until my life picks up steam again. I'm getting a little tired of moving though, I've moved 22 times in my life and 4 times in the past year. That's a big drain on the bank accounts and on my tenuous grip on mental health, but hopefully after we save up some money and get our own place again that will be the last time we have to move for a long time.

Flea, Joph, congrats on the upcoming wedding! You guys will make an awesome couple. =D
