You'll just have to head over to the Chicago gathering next year to find out. Smiley: wink2

But when...WHEN?!?!

You've already secretly planned the whole thing and just don't want me to come...that's what it is.

If there is an Allanois 2007 I will do my best to make the trek. I might have to sleep on someones hotel room floor though since I will be saving all my money for the move to Ottawa in September/October.

Yan Yan loves letting people sleep on her hotel room floor, hehe.

I think bhodi is covered with that respect.

Honestly, I don't know when exactly. I remember someone mentioned Summer, but that's it.

I just wanna know in time to have everything reserved...just cause I'm picky like that.

I'd be thrilled to meet any of you but, just to get it out of the way now, don't rely on Flea & I to plan everything. We have a wedding to plan and that's keeping us busy enough without trying to find amusement for a buncha web-dorks Smiley: grin

Fixed.

As far as Allanois '07, we tenatively decided that August/September would be the best time to do it. I'm not sure on the specifics, since I really don't know what you all want do do/see, but we should probably start getting down to details soon so that people can book airfare, get time off, etc.

I'd have a much easier time making it in August than in September (unless we're talking labor day weekend) just because I have no idea what my class schedule will be like (and hopefully it'll be my last semester, woot!).

Airfare isn't a problem for me. I just need to know when, where, and how long to schedule vacation for?

Hey, I live in the area. Almost any time is good for me. It's what's good for all of you folks coming from out of town that's important, really.

While you're all working out schedules, think of what you want to do. Baseball game? Visit some of the museums? Jazz bar hopping? Wet, naked pillow fight? Deep dish pizza?

Once there's a pretty coherent idea of what everybody wants to do, those of us that know the area can start planning better.

Easy peasy. A karaoke bar, a museum that has alot of blues and greens, a club that has music that EVERYONE likes versus just a couple of people, 1 hotel next to these areas of fun where we can lounge in (who is also next to a store where shirts can be purchased for the floor sleepers), several compitent cab drivers, and revolving doors with instructions are the ideal things to plan out for a good Allakhazam gathering.

I'm honestly not sure how good August/Sept would be for us. I'll be in the final hectic days of wedding planning and probably fit to be shot.

The cab drivers in Chicago are easily the most terrifying I've ever encountered.

Don't forget to add that all of it needs to be incredibly inexpensive, because we're all poor.

That's okay. We didn't until a couple of weeks ago. I'm also doing the ritualistic pre-wedding diet and exercise, so chances are I'll be starving and cranky. Smiley: lol

Hell, I'm tempted to attend just for the sovereign entertainment of watching you try to "force" Flea to do something.

You should never try to force them. They end up complaining of headaches and just lying there. Not moving. With a pissed look on there face.
