Holy stylesheet change, batman!Follow

So I use the EQ2 stylesheet, and while it was nothing beautiful, it was fairly easy on the eyes, with the black type on the mellow, light-brown background.

Imagine my surprise to log on just now to find my retinas assaulted by some weird concoction of teal-on-aqua background with white type. Blech!

What's more, the colors of the posters names have changes. Gurus, who used to be red, are now orange. Whatever used to be green is now a radioactive flourescent green. Double-blech.

Change it back!

On another note, while you're changing the stylesheet to something less vomit-inducing (I mean, honestly, text that was once white is now bile green) fix whatever this snafu is that's causing posts to take 5 minutes to show up.

I use the EQ2 style sheet as well...I don't mind the green backgrounds, but I'm not a fan of the white type. I guess I'll go back to the WoW style sheet again...er, nevermind, white text there, too. Smiley: disappointed

The search continues...

Yea, we're merging EQ2 OGaming with EQ2 Allakhazam. One of the parts of the merge is a new look.

Sorry if you don't like it, the old one was pretty outdated. Unfortunately old one is gone for good. If you like the clean, basic color layout we have a new site launching soon... black/grey/white.

Obviously with a 701 member number you've been around forever, but I can't for the life of me recall ever seeing you post here. Uhh, here's a belated welcome, lol.

I'm DF's not-so-evil twin (though a few people admins might disagree...). We do the same thing here basically. But yea, I am not a big poster.

Nice to meet you guys though.

If they utilize the LOTRO forum style sheet from Ogaming, I'll use it. This EQ2 one is Bobawful and not very work-friendly. Until then, my new style sheet will be Lineage II.

I use Allakh's basic stylesheet, gray back ground, black type, brown headers. Easy on the eyes. You wanna change something though then make linked itmes pop again. It's a pain in the **** to have to do the whole "open new window" bit.

I still use the EQ1 stylesheet. The original is always the best.

Thanks for the tip. Made the change. Of all the stylesheets (now that EQ2 is ruined) by far the least annoying.

Smoggy: Yeah, the aqua & teal motif isn't bad, it's what they did to the font colors that's bugging the **** outta me.

'course, I have a small bladder and overactive hormones these days, so that's not hard to do

Agreed, not to mention the font size change, too. Nasty stuff.

Keep working at it. His post count is weak, you can take him Darq. Just make sure Nobby holds him down first.

I used to use the EQ1 stylesheet, nice mellow shades of beige, but it's easier to get to the WoW content from the WoW stylesheet, so I've converted. The white text isn't so bad, really.

Maybe the rest of you are just getting old. Try using your bifocals.

Speaking of EQII (I like the new style sheet btw)

They just released EoF expansion which is nice however they also had Live Update 29 with it which revamped stat mechanics.

Basically there was a wall before, if you hit 'x' amount of strength it wouldnt increase effect beyond that. Since most players were capped for their main attributes there was no were to go in terms of itemization. Why get sword of uberness +2 when it won't benefit you anymore than sword of uberness +1?

So they change combat mechanics so that there is no longer a wall, now when you hit the wall you start getting diminishing returns. Supposed to be a neat way to allow for further gear progression.

Well less than a month after EoF release it is widely recognized by the EQ2 community as a joke. Previous game content wasn't scaled to the new system so it all the old stuff was one shotting anyone that tried it. Lvl 70 plate tanks in raid gear can now equip level 1 merchant cloth gear and they have almost the same Mitigation and higher avoidance. Mob resists are horrendous and player resist rates are broken as well.

Bah, good ole SOE. Seems like every two steps forward they take they feel the need to run a half kilometer backwards.

/rant off
