From the research I did, Sansa equipment is pretty crappy. For a non-iPod I opted for our Creave Labs Zen which is pretty cool.

you know how I know you're gay? you *want* to listen to crappy christmas music. Smiley: laugh

What about the "Zune" that Microsoft spat out? My boss ordered one and from the little that I saw, it's an Ipod with a bigger screen.

Just don't know if it sucks.

We just got that last week. It seems rather heavy and solid, so I'd expect it to be pretty durable, and the screen is rather large and easy to look at. Other than that, I don't know much else except it has built-in WiFi for sharing content with other nearby Zunes.

Speaking of solid, a little reading turned up that the older Sansa models were of filmsier material and the battery cover was prone to falling off. Mine is considerably more solid and the entire back plate (which covers the battery) is metal and screwed on.

I don't know if those factors played into tour original assessment of the player or not.

Yeah, it must have been some older models that I was getting reviews on, because our display piece isn't really flimsy.

My gripe with mp3 players in general is that none offer an AM tuner. I don't know enough about radio technology to figure out why (other than AM is obsolete and unpopular) but I want to listen to my news radio dammit!

If you dress yourself as a drunken drag queen, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Judy Garland would be the perfect accompaniment.

MMMM, TSO is wonderful but you ahve the albums already. So, with that in mind, I recommend

Savatage's Dead Winter Dead

1. Overture
2. Sarajevo
3. This Is The Time (1990)
4. I Am
5. Starlight
6. Doesn't Matter Anyway
7. This Isn't What We Meant
8. Mozart And Madness
9. Memory (Dead Winter Dead Intro)
10. Dead Winter Dead
11. One Child
12. Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)
13. Not What You See

Have a listen.

This was as close as I could get to saying TSO without actually saying TSO.
