bought a Wii.....for my kids.....Follow

#1 Dec 03 2006 at 7:53 AM Rating: Default
cant wait till they open it so i can show them how to play with it...hehehe

played with it for a while in best-buy. it rocks. the first true innovation in video gaming to hit the shelves since the launch of doom. sure we have had unending graphics upgrades, and variations of goals to attain ingame, but the Wii is awsome. another level of interaction. a totally new level of interaction. a big leap toward true vertual reality.

now to work on a really really big lcd screen to hook it up to........

the Wii is going to blow xbox and ps away.

sooo, whos going to be the first gaming company to incorperate the Wii controll system into a fantasy mmorpg?

Sell out! You've given in to the Establishment, dude. Any console bought for the kids is another console bought from the military-industrial mega-corporations who are just a front for the Bushies.

I am so disappointed in you.

I tihnk the Wii will be a housewarming gift for my GF and me when we get our new apartment. She loves Legend of Zelda, but I found out that the system comes with a very nice sports package. Smiley: grin

I plan to work for those corporations when I graduate college.

As for you, Sadow, I both hate, and pity you. Hate you because you got your hands on a wii... Boy saying that feels awkward. And pity because you won't have many good games to play for another month or two.

Anyways, in short... you are a lucky *******.

It's nintendo so make that at least a year.

Also the games won't be 'good' unless you are 8 years old. Thator enjoy using a controller that makes you wave around like a an epileptic spaz.

True, although you have to give nintendo credit for trying, and you'd be surprised at how many people enjoy waving around like an epileptic spaz.

No intention of buyin a Wii, at least until I see the 3rd party support for it. Bought both the 64 and the GameCube and all I've got to show for it is a small handfull of Nintendo games and little else.

Bah, My cousin got one the first day they came out and I got to play around with it over our Thanksgiving. It was a freaking blast! Nintendo Sports has got to be the funnest game I've played in ages. Sure you wave the controller around like a retarded club kid, but who cares?!

I thought I was going to like the tennis game the best, but we all had the most fun with bowling or all things. I didn't get to play with the boxing one, but it looks like I would enjoy that too - mostly because I like to punch stuff.

The only bad thing about it is that the strap that connects the controller to you wrist is pretty flimsy. It actually broke on me causing me to fling the controller half way across the room. Doh.

Everybody had fun playing around with it. Now, we just have to keep calling around town to find a store that has it in stock.

You could probably get a really nice one for about the price of a second-hand boat.

It won't be long before the kids say "Dad, you're doing it wrong. Let me show you how to do it" as they rip the controller from your hand.

Kids these days.

Congrats! I'd be lying though, if I didn't say I look forward with evil anticipation to future posts by any Wii owners about how they destroyed their LCD or Plasma screen tv's when their Wii controls fly from from their hands after the wrist straps broke. Smiley: sly

I'm having a blast with my X-Box 360 - playing Gears of War on Hardcore mode - Totem, this game was made for a badass **** like you in mind. You can even play the testosterone-amplified negro online! Smiley: grin

The black guy in Gears of War somehow manages to be every black action movie stereotype rolled into one. He's SO ethnic most of his lines are just, "OOOH YEAHH, BABY!" And his name is Cole Train, in an unexpected jazz reference that I've yet to see any GoW player actually... you know... get.

At least he doesn't die though, right? At least not in game. Just in the rap during the credits. He makes sexual grunts!

I believe Terry Tate does the voice for Cole Train. Great stuff.

Playing Gears of War the second time through, I'm really enjoying Tate's performance. He's got some fun lines.

I have a Wii sitting in my closet for my younger sister's Christmas present. I have been tempted many a night to just open it and play for a bit, then repackage pretty. I could always say I was just testing it...you know, to be sure it works right and all.

Pretty please???
