so let's hope they lose badly, thus proving that Michigan deserved a shot at the championship.
I'm actually hoping that we end the bowls with no undefeated teams and several 1-loss teams so someone might finally get their heads out of their asses and put together a system for determining the champ.

I prefer the current format over a possible playoff format. Yeah, it's not perfect but atleast in this you know that every single game counts. The very first game of the year might as well be a playoff game, there are no throwaway games. If we had a playoff format, when USC played UCLA on Saturday (badass game btw, haha USC) no one would have cared. USC would have already clenched their playoff spot, they'd be resting their starters, etc...going for the win yeah but a loss wouldn't have been a big deal. When Texas played Ohio St. early in the season everyone knew what was at stake in that game, the tension and build-up was awesome. Playoff format? Something similar probably but not near as much pressure or hype. In a playoff format yeah the playoff games would be badass but the regular season would be so dull, aside from the rare games toward the end of the season where a team would be fighting for a playoff spot. I really like the setup right now, it's why the entire college football season matters to me, as opposed to the NFL where I don't pay much attention until the end of the season or the playoffs.
it sums up pretty well why a playoff system would be pretty crappy to do in the college realm.
I personally am a huge OSU fan (a junior there right now) and am very excited for the game in Arizona. As for the whole argument... Michigan had their chance... they lost (by 3 points -- which, by the way the game was played should not have been that close) and UofM did not win the Big 10. That sucks for them, but better luck next year? OSU won the Big 10 and UF won the SEC, USC won the PAC10. Those 2 teams deserve it over Michigan, plus the strength of schedule that Florida had just stronger (debatably).
