Just saw this tonight - awesome fun movie - especially if you are a D fan. Jack Black and Kyle Gass kick ***. Tim Robbins, Ben Stiller, Dave Grohl, Meatloaf, and Ronnie James Dio had some awesome roles in the flick. Definitely going to buy it on DVD when it comes out.

Tomorrow, I'm going out to pick up the soundtrack for the car. Smiley: grin

Can't wait to see it. They are so full of themselves, and because they are. They make the awsomeness work! Like backintheday, in high school pretending to be a bad-*** WWF backyard wrestler. You had to act the tough guy, holyer then thou role everytime you encountered another friend backyard wrestler. The ones who took the role all the way, and never broke face. Were always the most hardcore, and unrivaled. They also had the best matches, always willing to throw down with a rival, anywhere...anytime.

Did anyone catch The D on Conan? Hell Friggin YEAH!

Wow you can fit your entire cd collection in one player. I wish I could do that and I've got a 200 cd changer.

Haven't seen it, won't see it either more than likely. Just like I shouldn't have gone to see Balky in Perfect Strangers, Uncensored, Season Two, err, I mean Borat. While I can understand bhodi paying to see some dude teabag another dude; scroats swinging free aren't my thing.

I think the movie was made for die-hard Tenacious D fans - it's got twisted humor, heavy metal rock and stoner references (not a stoner myself...well, maybe a few times back in the day Smiley: drunk ). I'm not sure it will go over huge with the general public.

I'm torn on the Borat flick - I haven't seen it. While I think Sasha Cohen is a really talented guy, I'm not a huge fan of films or tv shows that mock regular people at their expense, even if they deserve it. That said, I am a fan of the Daily Show which does this from time to time when the reporters interview people for their stories.

Also, I'm not big on gross-out humor and I hear there's some really gross stuff in the Borat film.

The album is Fan-frikin-tastic as well, if you liked the movie. The album is basically all the songs they play in the film.

I haven't been able to get "Papagenu (He's my Sassafras)" out of my head since friday night.

Ooh la la la, Ooh Papagenu! He's my papa Sass..
