picture this, your out on the water on a sunny beutiful day. anchored, and sitting under your bimini top. the wife doesnt expect you home till dinner time, and its only just after breakfast. the kids are in school.

then, you pop open the top of the consol over your cooler of beer and food, out pops a 17 inch lcd screen on a bracket that lets is swivel in any direction at any angle. turn on the lap top its hooked to. take out your blue tooth mouse and keyboard, and sit back while your favorite game scrolls across your screen, hooked up to your satelite internet service.............

what dreams are made of.

You know, you can play your little video games at home. Costs less, too.

Maybe next week you can take a trip to Vienna and watch Simpsons DVDs in your hotel room.

My romance novels will all be recorded onto my ipod by professional Broadway stars, and acted out by mimes in full historically accurate garments sewn by my very own underaged sweatshop workers.

The problem with going out on a limb is how stupid you look when you fall off.

yep, definatly single. after you have been married for a while, and have some kids, you become more aware of your station in life. so much so, you can go to work in your underwear and not really care.

why?

because you have reached the point where you could care less what type of car Mr. Jones just bought. a timex is more preferable than a rolex. target will sell you shoes that last a year for 20 dollars instead of the sports dude shoes that cost 200 dollars.

and you can spend all that money on something you really want as opposed to something to impress people you dont know, nor care to know.

look stupid? rofl, ok. cant spell? hahaha, send me a report card. fall off a tree? well, you can bet it will be MY tree, in MY yard. and i wouldnt have climbed it if i didnt think it was going to be fun, and not because i felt any need to show people i can climb a tree.

wana talk about falling off a tree, how much time have you wasted trying to put down someone who doesnt really care? hahahahahaha

but dont fret, you will get there some day.

No, Shadowrelm has me pegged. I am definately the kind of guy who worries about his neighbor's car, owns a Rolex and pays $200 for fancy basketball shoes.

Ya know shadowflem, there's another thread right on the first page where not only does he speak about who wears the pants in the house, but he even mentions how that goes with his kid.

If by "get a rise out of" you mean "eliminate all doubt of his idiocy", then you are correct.

hey, someone with a flicker if intelegance....

yep, its not hard too. like taking candy from a baby. after you get to a point where you understand where you are, where your going, and how you need to get there, you can identify your station in life. once you do, nothing really bothers you anymore.

when you get to that point, the world opens up to you. you can identify charateristics and motivations in other people because you can recognize them in yourself as you used to be. ie, i can recognize the need to feel superrior in other peoples eyes by degrading others, because i can see where i used to do it myself. i can see that "your not taking that from me" attitude when your trying to change lanes and the other person speeds up because i can see where i used to do the same thing.

bottom line, we are all the same. differant social-econimical backgrounds, but the basic emotions that drive our actions are all the same.

petty.

welcome to the human race. what i really cant understand is why God would bother with us in the first place.

Hey, if you want to brag that the best thing you can think of to do on a boat on the water on a beautiful sunny day is play video games, go for it. I guess I just found it funny because I don't need to run away from the little woman and my kid when I want to relax. But I guess hiding from your family and spending a crapload of money to play video games makes you more zen so you ride that pony. Smiley: laugh
