#27 Nov 14 2006 at 10:52 AM Rating: Good
I like Anapod. It works very well, and is pretty reasonably priced.

I just fought with iTunes and my wife's laptop last night...I am in agreeance with Bodhi, iTunes sucks.

Video iPods are teh sexah though.

I've been happy with my Sony Walkman. It does the job just fine.

Everything got marginally better once I wrested control of Itunes away from the 'autopilot' it is set on and set everything to manual.

Pretty pleased overall.

Anyone want my old minidisc player?

I just walk around with my boombox blaring on my shoulder.

Playing James Taylor.

I would do that, but the cost of 8 x "C cell" batteries these days is prohibitive. Smiley: frown

Also, Def Leppard is way cooler.

Most of the criticisms I've heard from friends have been down to not setting it up right.

E.g. Set it up so it imports CD's as MP3 instead of Apple Encoder

Use Smart Playlists and regular ones

I do buy music from iTunes, but once I have 20 or 30 tracks, burn 'em to CD or DVD and import them as mp3's to get around the DRM. A small price to pay.

Oh, and for anyone using Videora. Switch to Super(c). It's much more versatile and less buggy. Videora looks better than it is.

Super(c) manages the following files seamlessly:
.flv (Youtube imported using VideoDownloader in FireFox)
.3gp (recorded on my cell phone)

It even takes .avi or .mpg files and converts them to animated .gif filesSo my secret's out - Premium 4tw. Take any video clip and turn it into an avatard.

But back to topic. I use Ulead Videostudio to convert TV recordings to iPod format.

I'm very Britishly Punctual. Hate being late for meetings and if traffic's light, often arrive early and use my iPOD to catch up on Lost or Torchwood while I'm waiting.

Bohdi the iPod is the best ever.

As far as Mac's go, the only thing that they are good for is music and movie software, if it weren't for that they wouldn't be around. My iPod is simply the best thing I've bought in a long time. Lot's of accessories, and so many things can be done with them.

Just got me one of these:http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/zenvisionm/

Only reason i got a creative instead of an ipod was due to my unfounded, deepest loathing of itunes and all it stands for. Windows Media Player 11 4tw!
