did you get the adaptor that allows you to use your radio with it? That was worth the cash if youre in the car often

Nope.

Did I mention how bad Itunes is? Whoever designed or helped design the program needs to die of cancer.

Smiley: laugh It takes getting used to. You'll get used to it, but won't like it.

Well both me and the girlfriend have an Ipod now.

I had to d'ick around and figure out how to set it so her music wouldnt go on my Ipod and vice a versa. (still not sure if I have figured that out)

I am trying to figure out how to get her music off my ipod.

I have the feeling that all 5,000+ songs I have on my computer right now are being transferred over to my ipod as we speak.

The Itunes FAQ / Help site is worse than useless.

I just want to enjoy my new toy!

OK will do.

Been thinking about getting an Ipod. Been debating if I want a 30Gig Video or the 8Gig Nano, both $249 last I checked. Video any good on an Ipod?

Have a 60Gb iPOD 5 and 5Gb iPOD mini

I love iTunes. Intuitive and flexible.

Don't forget to set it to import as Mp3 instead of m4mugwump

You suck

(Only gripe about the 60Gb iPOD is battery time. Might see if Santa Nobby will bring me the new 80Gb with better power)

The video quality is awesome, but you have to jump through bunches of hoops if you want to get any videos that you didn't buy from iTunes on the iPod. Which sucks. Badly.

On the flipside, people have gotten Linux to work on iPods, which is awesome incarnate.

Is excellent.

Now that I can record TV onto my HDD and rip Youtube I tend to use it to watch my fave TV shows and youtube stuff.

And of course, having Shawshank Redemption and Spinal Tap wherever I go makes my life almost complete.

(I remembered the 'almost' DF)

Try this Freeware (and it is freeware not shareware)

Converts most formats to iPOD quite happily (Including Youtube .flv files if you have Videodownloader add-in for FireFox)

I also use Ulead VideoStudio for fancy stuff

I do heart the videos on my iPod. I have Friends on mine and I can watch 3 or 4 episodes of Friends while I do my cardio and not even realize it. Smiley: grin

Yeah, I know about the stuff(I use Videora), but it's still annoying. Especially when even the converters have issues. But it's worth it in the long run.

Oh sorry I must have taken it while going through your underwear drawer. You know you really need to get a better music collection.

Stupid Apple. I bought my iPod a month before they released the video ipod.

I'll upgrade when they put wireless into it. Like what the Zune has.

if you have a cassette player in your car, you can just buy a cheap cassette adaptor for 5 bucks and it works even better than the radio adapter.

Just need to figure out how to remove the stuff already on there and all should be well.

I can't buy movies off Istore because Istore canada has no movies and I am not allowed to purchase off Istore USA. However I heard a tale about a site dedicated to nothing but ipod bittorrents. A site harbouring movies, tv series, music videos, games and such. Good times.

iTunes is shiat I recommend Anapod

A Cassette adapter works better then the radio transmitter if you have a cassette deck in your car.

As well you should be. You'd need to raid an Amish girl's school to find a larger collection of granny-panties and bloomers.

I hate itunes as well. A total waste unless your music was all on CDs to start with, and I haven't owned any of those in eons. I have an ancient ipod. It serves its purpose. Don't really want one with video.
