So, I have a fairly cheap RCA MP3 player, within the last week Napster can no longer sync with it. I keep getting the message that it cant locate the internal clock. WTF? How do I fix this. There is no clock.

Step 1. Chuck it in bin.
Step2. buy a good one.

Hope this helps....

Napster recently incorporated a new digital rights management technology that requires you to sync your player at least every 30 days or the MP3's cease to work. If that clock file on your MP3 player gets corrupted, it can't sync with it and your MP3 player becomes a paperweight. I'm not sure how to go about fixing it either.

Either new mp3 player or new account. Or a firmware reset on mp3 player might work.

Buy this and then get a music service of your choice. Music match is the one I like and runs $15 for three months. Then you can record all the songs you want for almost nothing.

No need to get a new player just get rid of that napster crap.

Seriously, Napster is horrible. Try allofmp3.com I've been using it for over a year now, and absolutely love it.

I ordered for myself a Creative Labs Zen V mp3 player. I refused to go iPoop and got a work discount for it. Should be coming in soon!

Yep. I finally broke down and drank the Ipod kool-aid for my birthday back in September. How nice to not have to choose a paltry 20 CDs from my collection to carry in my car.

The only thing that bugs me (without even having or using an mp3 player yet) is the lack of AM tuners. Many (if not most) offer FM tuning, which is nice, but I'd happily listen to News Radio 88 all day long. I did that when I had a car, too.

I found the major malfunction. I have my comp set up to download updates, I downloaded and installed WMP 11. Napster does not work with WMP 11. So, to sum up, I still have a crappy MP3 player, napster still sucks.
