Today I heard a 1996 Bob Gates interveiew where he said that the reason that Saddam wasn't removed in '91 was because it would be another Vietnam with US troops stuck in a bloody and violent impasse for years.

So the question is...

Will Michael Jackson's next album make the top 10?

He also said "And if I were your husband madam, I would drink it!"

Which was quite funny...

Michael Jackson's album will not make the top 10.

His duet with Kevin Federline will bring the world together like the Wyld Stallions from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

It's the same thing George Sr. said at the time, and the same advice he gave Dubya.

Kids. Can't tell 'em a thing.

I read in an editorial somewhere that the Democrats are worried about the troop pullout b/c they are still being blamed for how disastrous the Vietnam withdrawl was.

"Thanking the president for the opportunity to serve, Rumsfeld said in a brief Oval Office session yesterday afternoon that the experience brought to mind the words of Winston Churchill -- 'something to the effect,' he quipped, 'that I have benefited greatly from criticism, and at no time have I suffered a lack thereof.'" --Rumsfeld

Good quote.

He could have learned from another Churchill quote:

Sir Winston wrote:
Battles are won by slaughter and maneuver. The greater the general, the more he contributes in maneuver, the less he demands in slaughter.

Replace impasse with "ten acres of force security and the rest of the country car bomb Russian roulette" and he'd have been right on!
