No its not about the Dems taking the House and the Senate and Rumsfeld looking for a new job, though that is pretty f'ucking sweet in itself.

See I have been having a problem at work. The problem being that I have been working 55-60 hour work weeks and it turns out that I haven't been receiving the overtime that legally is my due. Now confronting a small business owner over stuff like this usually is a sure way to lose a job but I figured I was gonna do it anyways.

I contacted my immediate supervisor and he was unsure where to go and directed me to the owners. The owners dodged me for two days straight. Finally tonight I cornered the one owner and kind of forced it. I had taken the time to know all my facts and I pretty much cut through all the jive he was sending my way. Finally he managed to cut and run with a promise to discuss it later.

Later than night I got a call and had to go up to the office. The three brothers who own the place were there and we had a chat about the whole thing and it ended up with a)Me getting my OT pay b) Me getting a raise c) the realization that I havent been getting other extra pay that was my due.

I chatted with other staff to make sure the extra money they gave me was on the up and up and that everyone had been receiving it (lord knows they might be giving me money and then saying I stole it the next day or something crazy like that).

How the f;'uck I managed to resolve a money issue with my employer and still be welcome at the job is beyond me. Sounds too good to be true who knows tomorrow I might not be, I will have to wait and see. However as of right now things look pretty fracking good.

Gratz on that!

Must be something in the air. Last week I picked up a cheque that was in full payment of being shortchanged at work for the last 3 years Smiley: jawdrop. LOADSA money.

Pretty amazing in itself. But when you take into consideration that I work for a health authority, and I didn't actually know that I was being underpaid (they told me)it feels like free money.

Ive ordered a new surfboard, and banked the rest for now. What you spending yours on?

You work how many hours a week?? Im down to 24 now, wich is soo much nicer.

Ottawa?

You should check out New Zealand. Its like Canada, but much smaller, with less lakes, more sheep and we're a really long way from the US.

Besides we need the foreign currency.....

I will be geared back to 40 hours a week since they do no wish to be paying OT out the wang. I am quite fine with that. Work might still cut into my EQ2 raid schedule though Smiley: cry.
