the bloody idiots of my state just voted away their rites to amend the FL constitution by a simple majority.

In the past you just needed 50% +1 vote to make a CHANGE to the FL constitution. NOW the bloody idiots in FL have passed a change that TAKES THAT RIGHT AWAY FROM them and changes it to 60% + 1 vote to change anything.

welcome to big government in the state of FL...

Works for the US Constitution. Personally, I'm in favor of a super-majority when you're altering the primary legal document for your state.

Especially when the proposed amendments are usually something asinine like defining marriage.

He is the "know it all f'uck who doesn't know sh'it bout nuthin" guy.

He also got butthurt about something I said to him in a PM once and went crying to the admins, in a lefein~esque crybaby routine that left both myself and the admins chuckling.

I thought he was.

I do know he's the one who rabidly posts any anti-Microsoft/Sony material he can come across into OOT. He's like Shadowrelm if Bush was Bill Gates.

The guy with the Bruce Lee avatar was a Sage, thought he had an entirely different name. Perhaps more than one person had an avatar of the Dragon or else my memory is getting duller than Elderon at an awkward session of Toastmasters.

Bodhi could PM him and ask if he ever had Bruce Lee for an avatard.

Not sure he'd get an answer but at least Bodhi'd get a giggle out of it.

Singdall was the one that was trying to claim that the Israeli army was technologically backwards and using Vietnam era weaponry against Lebanon. When people with an actual clue chimed in stating that the IDF has a rather advanced military with precision guided munitions he got all /butthurt and started hinting at how he knows everything because his uncles cousins wife employer was in the airforce once.

The guy is a total Cliff Claven (almost gbaji like).

Shame they didn't make it 100%+1.

Smasharoo, I've been wondering about something for quite some time now. How come you always bold text when you quote something instead of using the [quote] tags?

I mean... why?

Just can't figure out the quote markup tool. I'm a little slow, you see.

He's probably making an aesthetic call i.e., he thinks the quote tags are fugly.

When there are constitutional amendments defining the size of cages of pregnant pigs, then YES, it needs to be harder to amend. Florida amends its constitution about four or five times every election, this year it was 6 I believe.

Lol. Smash uses bold tags instead of quote tags because whenever he and I used to get into arguments (the good old days...), he needed to be able to respond with his pithy an amusing one-liners as often as possible. There's a limit to how many quote tags you can put in a post (I think you're allowed more now, used to be like 7 quotes). Thus, the only way for us to bask in the glory of his clever commentary was to use bold tags to quote people.

Either that or he's just slow. Vote's still out!

That's because, as Algore says, "It's a living document," lol. After all, that's always the argument from those who aren't happy with things like constitutionally guaranteed gun ownership and the like.
