Anyone seen this yet? I like the sketch on Da Ali G Show but I'm not sure a whole movie is going to be funny and/or comfortable. He was pretty hilarious on SNL last week though.

I just heard a review on Good Morning America ( I love being off ) from a critic who surprisingly said it was one of the funniest movies he has seen. Critics are usually rough on films like this but this guy couldn't stop talking about it. I do though find it tough to trust critics after taking film classes in College Smiley: bah

Regardless I love Sacha's work and will see it ASAP.

It has gotten good reviews every place I've come across one and I've only heard good things but Flea isn't interested so I'll probably be getting it from NetFlix in another six months.

Rotten Tomatoes has it at 95% positive from the critics. And it's apparently only 84 minutes! Still time for dinner after!

Da Ali G show is probaly the best comedy show in the last 10 years. It's not to often that you can get original sketch humor.

I love how HBO dumped it and they won't even show the older episodes on HBO on demand. I can though watch every episode of The Sopranos which is a good thing because I tend to forget whats going on in the series during their two year breaks Smiley: oyvey

It's not like they ended it mid-coitus. The town is being taken in by the states and is becoming (more) lawful. More politics are entering the picture so on and so forth. Also the TV movies will be coming out soon that "promise" to tie/wrap things up to give closure to some events.

I can't wait to see it. Borat was always my favourite of Sacha's character. The movie promises to be racist, sexist, and mind-numbingly stupid. What more can you ask for?! And he makes fun of middle-america, which despite being an easy target, should provide a few laughs from bitter old frenchmen like me.

They're also going to make a movie about Bruno, the Austrian fashion-interview guy, which could be quite funny.

But Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, looks awesome. Going to see it this week-end, can't wait!!

"Borat" was on the Opie & Anthony today doing an interview, and I almost pissed my pants.

Never been a real fan of it. I'm not opposed to going to see it, but if we get a night out sans kid, there's probably three or four movies I would watch before it.

You've sunk to new lows. Quoting Aegis is about as original as making a joke about stealing my laptop.

I still need to see Flags of Fathers before it's not in theatre anymore.
And that comic book lookin ancient world movie.. 300 i think it's called?

Borat does look funny, but it's not a movie I'd stress to see in the theatre.. I reserve that for movies that have a lot of good loud battle scenes and nice effects.

The only benefit in seeing movies in the theatre other than that is so you can talk about them with people.

Sacha Baron Cohen, aka "Borat", is one of the best comedians bar none since Andy Kaufmann.

NWS Throw the Jew down the well.

Lyrics - In my country there is problem

Verse
In my country there is problem,
And that problem is transport.
It take very very long,
Because Kazakhstan is big.

Chorus 1
Throw transport down the well (repeat line)
So my country can be free (repeat line)
We must make travel easy (repeat line)
Then we’ll have a big party (repeat line)

Verse 2
In my country there is problem
And that problem is the Jew
They take everybody money
And they never give it back

Chorus 2
Throw the jew down the well (repeat line)
So my country can be free (repeat line)
You must grab him by his horns (repeat line)
Then we have a big party (repeat line)

Verse 3
If you see the Jew coming
You must be carefull of his teeth
You must grab him by his money
And I tell you what to do

(Repeat Chorus 2 twice)

Or.

David Milch has said that the show was always written to be unveiled in 4 seasons. HBO gave us only 3/4 of the story and that blows, movies or not.

HBO has been waffling on Rome and the Sopranos for ages too. It's like they give us the sweet candy and then take it away when we start to really enjoy it.

My husband is dying to see this and has been nagging me all week to go. He saw that commercial where he's eating dinner with three women and a man and tells the guy at the table, "In my country, the people would go crazy for these two. That one... not so much." and he hasn't stopped asking me.

Of course, my husband also wanted to pay money to see Jackass 2. I told him I'd rather die.

I was able to catch it on friday, it was easily one of the most funny movies I have seen in some time. Most of the people he interacts with seem absolutely oblivious to the fact that he's stroking them the whole time. If you like the show, you'll like the movie just as much. A couple of points I couldn't believe he got away with some of the things he did.

The Sopranos money is the reason they canceled Deadwood. That show hasn't been worth watching for about two seasons now. Christopher is a drug addict, I ******* get it already. Seeing him fall off the wagon for the 900000th time is boring.

I really loved Rome. But I'm thinking I'm going to be cancelling HBO for now. When/if they ever do season 2 of Rome, I'll get it again. Or Big Love. I'll get it again for that.

I heard Rome season 2 will be out in summer of 2007, but who knows for sure.
