Now we just need to figure out a song for the wifey and her Dad.
I've always thought that Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely", which he wrote for the birth of his daughter Aisha, was particularly lovely and not overly sappy.
Butteryfly Kisses - Bob Carlisle is a very popular choice for that.

We listened to both of them and they were "OK" but it seemed that everyone uses those two at Weddings, she wants something different. She found one by Billy Joel but it just seemed to drag on. The name of the song escapes me ATM.

Here's a bunch to check out. All good choices IMO.

You know what else is beautiful? Elton John's "Blessed".

I know you said you already had the bride and groom dance, but this is the song I wish we had used at our wedding. We used "Arms of the Angel" by Sarah McLachlan.

The song we used for the Father-Daughter dance (and would've been the mother-son dance as well, if my mother-in-law had bothered to come to the reception in time) was "Then They Do," by Trace Adkins. I can't find a site that plays it, it's an older song, and technically country (which I can't stand) but here are the lyrics. (That site is a little Smiley: cheesey, sorry.)

Not to be a dick, but you do know that song is about heroin addiction, right?

That's actually pretty funny.

I used The Rodeo Song at my wedding. It went well with the pregnant bride and the shotguns.

I don't blame you. Wasn't the song plugged into some movie as a romance song? I think that's when it started getting radioplay.

The CD it was on was one of those "Enhanced Quicktime" dealies and it contains an interview where she talks about the song and what it's about.

I need some distraction, oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless, and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight...

It was used in City of Angels.

Yeah, Elderon is right. City of Angels, and I hated that movie. Smiley: lol But I bought the sound track because of Uninvited by Alanis Morrisette.

I can't wait to go home and tell my husband that. Thanks, Joph!!

Betwixt this and the methanol comment, you're a regular Eldeipedia today.

Generally factual and poorly edited.
