Thanks a lot.

I would hope that he didn't mean it as it sounds and he already came up with an 'explanation' of it but, Christ man, are you fucking retarded? Did you go out planning to say that?

Wow.

It's like the front runner in the Liberal party up in Canada saying that israel commited war crimes in lebanon or that canada should recognize Quebec as a nation. Its like they have no filter. They get all excited at their potential lead and instead of holding it down and coasting into first place they have to start spouting stupid **** that will ensure that they lose.

If the last six years have taught us anything the only thing Americans hate worse than an incompetent mouth breather republican like Bush is a snotty, self assured **** of a democrat like Kerry.

*sigh*

On the one hand, I can see where his handlers thought it would be the aggressive, the ballsy, yea the Pubbie thing to do to completely ignore the fact that he gaffed and try to flip things into a virulent attack on the people that pointed out such a gaffe (who loves ya, Hastert?), because it's taking a page out of the standard GOP Defcon 5 Publicity Handbook BUT there's still the teensy weensy matter of LOSING THE SUPPORT OF YOUR OWN PARTY,YOU THOUGHTLESS HACK.

He should think about that, and try leading by example. Admit that you said something stupid. Hell, explain it, if you can, but if you think you'll win points by using this tired tactic, it just goes to show you have no idea of your support base whatsoever, and you should probably resign before you drag your state into any further disgrace.

Right. He should clarify: "What I meant to say was, if you're a complete dolt you end up getting your country stuck in Iraq."

In "response to White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, assorted right wing nut-jobs, and right wing talk show hosts," Kerry accused his opponents of distorting his comments to divert attention from what he called a dismal record on Iraq.

"I'm sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did," Kerry said. "I'm not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium, or doughy Rush Limbaugh, who no doubt today will take a break from belittling Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's disease to start lying about me just as they have lied about Iraq. It disgusts me."

Good luck with this one boys. He's all yours.

Meaningless. Good indication of the complete desperation of the GOP this election though.

Even if they're lobbing petunias at us, we still handed them over in a gift bag, and that galls me. I'm a Dem, but I can't back them mindlessly. It was a stupid thing to say, and a bad time to say it.

When are you running for President, damn it? I need someone to vote for.
While you're at it, IL needs a Gov.

I can't imagine an explanation that won't make him sound worse.

I think it boiled down to him thinking he'd score a quick zinger off the administration about how Iraq's been going and, in his zeal, didn't consider that there's living, breathing soldiers over there getting killed. Which is pretty fucking hard to believe from someone who actually served in combat.

I understand the criticism that military enrollment tends to "appeal" mainly to lower-middle income people looking for a set career or else lured into the Guard with thoughts of college money. But that's just it -- they're making money for COLLEGE. They already studied hard and are trying to make something of themselves.

I think you're giving him too much credit. I tend to think it was just sloppiness. Of course he didn't write that, and apparently, he didn't read over the copy before he presented it.

Yeah, but to be Governor I'd have to, like, live there - right?

I dunno... if Blagojevich can telecommute from Chicago to Springfield, San Francisco to Springfield shouldn't be any great shakes.

Sure it was, but something Kerry says doesn't motivate the GOP base to come out and vote for Random Corrupt Local Rep #978. Lack of charisma goes both ways, if Clinton had said it, it'd be worth notice. Kerry, not so much.

Bah! FuCking ******* I hate Kerry. I can't help but believe the stories of his (lack of) heroism. I really believe we just got a clear insight into how he feels about the troops.

There are only a few things I want from the next president.

Increase money for education
Increase money for the military
WTFPWN the welfare system, or atleast order reform so that we arent supporting ******* no job breeders
Allow gay marriage
Allow stem cell research
STAY IN IRAQ!!!!

Is that so much to ask?
