I was diagnosed with sinus debris and told I am going to have surgery in two weeks.

3 sets of sinus will get balloon sinuplasty, it's like angioplasty but for your sinus. What happens is the balloon gets inserted, inflated and when it inflates makes tiny fractures in the sinus bones which in turn enlarges the sinus opening.

I am still researching google etc. but I wondered if anyone, besides Dana's aunt Smiley: tongue has had this, or any sinus surgery and what happened. The Dr. said my openings are very tiny and mentioned that one set of sinus he can't do this on and will have to "go in and manually removed the debris" blah blah blah. That is the part that scares me; scars!

So tell me what you know, or have experienced. I will be back after the demerol takes out my migraine for the day. Ta-ta.

My aunt had something similar to this. Constant sinus headaches and excessive pain.

After waiting many months to get in for surgery (go Canada!) she finally got it done. Her headaches and pain are now gone (so it's a good thing). I'm not sure if they had to go in manually, but weren't any permanent scars left afterwards.

Best of luck on your surgery DF, and don't worry about the scars, they have lasers that can remove those. Smiley: wink

It's great for motion sickness. Take it and you won't move for hours.

Hmm. I was talking to this girl I know who said she was giving a guy a hummer and she happened to take a breath and exhale through her nose, just and he let "loose his juice." She said it was dripping out her nose. That the sort of debris we talking about here?

Never mind. Got it confused with something else. Now I remember! This is the stuff that's addictive and makes you lumpy.

Sinus's, like any other internal mucous membrane, (!) tend to heal pretty quickly.

Its gonna be a bit bunged up and uncomfortable for a couple o' days or so, but will get back to normal pretty quickly.

Take Arnica (homeopathic stuff) for 3 days before surgery and a few days after.

You will be sweet.
