I just almost died of cuteness. The day care center next door took their kids out trick or treating around all the offices in the complex. I ran to the back kitchen area and grabbed a bag of twizzlers pack thingies to give them.

They were adorable! There was this one little dude who ran up to me and said "I'm a turtle ninja!" holding his bag up asking for candy! Another one saw the bag of twizzlers and gave me this baffled look and said "Yo no quiero" (I don't want any)and kept walking. Smiley: laugh

There were lots of disney princesses, power rangers, star wars characters (one of them was proud to be Luke Skywalker...dressed as Anakin, none-the-less.) The WHOLE group of kids would chant "Trick or Treat; Halloween!" as they marched from one office to the next, with Snowwhite and whatever her name was that made the poison apple.

OK...I'm done now. Smiley: laugh

Will post pics, if I remember to bring my camera (not likely).

I have three 6 story office buildings where I work. Usually get people who bring their kids/have them visit in costume so I usually bring candy for them. This year I have 120 individually wrapped Gummy Eyeballs similar to this.

Haha, those eyeballs are great!! I saw in a magazine I bought a recipe for ogre eye cookies. They were basically round cookies dipped in green sugar crystals with white cream in the middle with a black mini M&M in the middle of that and then little licorice strings stuck into one end for eyelashes. I may try that next year!

I just went to our PEDS unit and was offered a bowl of M&M's by a nurse who, when I reached in, yelled at me that I needed to wash my hands first. I told her I had just used the alcohol on the wall and the only thing I had touched since was her door to get into the unit, and she flipped. I ended up losing my patience and telling her that if she had such a freaking issue with it, she should put out individually wrapped candy. She was still yelling at me while I was trying to interpret for a domestic abuse victim. Finally I lost it and told her to just throw the candy away and quit bugging me.

Goddamn it, I hate today.

I'm sorry to hear that. That sucks, royally. Halloween is an awesome holiday partly because there is just so few ways to ***** it up. Humans...they can find the damnedest ways to ***** up the simplest things.

My kiddo is getting dressed up as a flower; Mrs. YoYo made the costume. She's cute as a button. I'll post photos.

I've eaten 5 reeses pumpkins, a handful of hershey's kisses, three little sleeve things of smarties, two cupcakes (with orange frosting no less), and various other little bits of chocolate. This, combined with the four or five cups of coffee, should effectively prevent me from ever sleeping again.

The ironic part is that I didn't know WHAT he was dressed as. He simply had some sort of pasty orange jump suit looking thing on. I guess it was a chihuahua!

Just got back from my sons school. They had a parade around the common and then had the parents go in and hang out for the rest of the day. I saw some really cute costumes.

here's two pics of my son in the parade

you have no idea how hard it was trying to find a "scary gorilla" costume that actually fit a 4 yr old. But its what hes wanted to be since April and has never wavered. So when I found one and it was a little more expensive than I was hoping for, I had to do it anyways. The light shining from his eyes made it worth it.
Or was that the 9volt battery that makes the eyes light up?
