You couldn't imagine what my wife and I did on the hood of that car. Because of the racing cam in the engine, it idles like a "spin cycle on steroids".

I had to go through a complete ground up engine restoration on my monte carlo a few years ago, its quite pricy =/.

Darken, the only parts of the engine that are original, are the block, and the timing cover. The real expensive stuff was the forged steel "everything" to withstand the nitrous.
um... yes it is a 74 DF.... but it is an SS only in emblem.

3400 lbs with a 350.. best I can hope for will be in the low 11's unless I go with a 2 stage nitrous set up.. then, the rest of the car might break..

I just prefer both power and handling.
As for the messy tights, I seem to recall a single track lane near Lichfield where the handbrake was helpful on the tighter bends where I didn't want to drop below 65mph.
