I wouldn't either. However, he did bring about the fact that "Fat-bottomed girls, they make the rockin' world go round." So he's not THAT crazy.

Very true.

In many ways, he was both black and heterosexual very much like Totem.

This line has irritated me forever, since it's the opposite. Yes, I'm *that* ****-retentive.

Love you Meatloaf.

To wax philosophical, I believe he was trying to make a corollary to the way people have fading memories of the bad times and over glorification of the good times when looking back at ones life. But Meatloaf does a poor juxtapose of philosopher and a frat boy at a kegger.

It was a brief interlude
And a midsummer night's fling
And you'll see that it's time to move on

It'll all turn to dust and we'll all fall down
Sooner or later you'll be ******** around

Harkening back to a previous thread, I nominate the entirety of L. Cohen's "Jazz Police" but I'll settle for quoting a mere portion:
L. Cohen, an obvious admirer of Gamera, wrote:

Guys like me are mad for turtle meat

Rivaled only by the insipidly moronic MacArthur Park...

[i]MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

I once watched Richard Harris punch a waitress in the face for a bet. Everything made sense back then.

Man, I hate the 21st Century.

I'm thinkin' that 6 feet might not be so far down, but what the hell does that have to do with the fact that you're "6 feet from the edge"? Is the edge 6 feet away from you and only a 6 foot drop off?

I'd have to go with this gem by Des'ree:

Quote:
I'm afraid of the dark,
'specially when I'm in a park
And there's no-one else around,
Ooh, i get the shivers

I don't want to see a ghost,
it's a sight that I fear most
I'd rather have a piece of toast and
watch the evening news

Life, oh life, oh life, oh life, doo,
doot doot dooo. Life, oh life, oh life,
oh life, doo, doot dooo

I'm a superstitious girl,
I'm the worst in the world
Never walk under ladders,
I keep a rabbit's tail

I'll take you up on a dare, anytime, anywhere
Name the place, I'll be there, bungee jumping,
I don't care!

Life, oh life, oh life, oh life, doo,
doot doot dooo. Life, oh life, oh life,
oh life, doo, doot dooo

So after all is said and done
I know I'm not the only one
Life indeed can be fun, if you really want to
Sometimes living out your dreams,
Ain't as easy as it seems
You wanna fly around the world,
In a beautiful balloon

Life, oh life, oh life, oh life, doo,
doot doot dooo. Life, oh life, oh life,
(repeat till end)

6 feet from the edge as in jumping off commiting suicide, and 6 feet down as in buried. In other words, he's saying maybe being dead isn't so bad. I actually think it's pretty cleverly worded but w/e
