When I was I think 9, my sister was taking me to a concert at DAR and while we were walking across the Mall, a flock of Starlings in the bare trees, crying out like the Birds.

We never made it to the concert, but headed back home quickly on the next bus.

My brother loved to watch B movies on the weekends and there was one that had me scare for years. It had a brain in a jar and something in a closet that pulled the arm off the Scientist. I think I ran from the room at that point.

For a good scare I always preferred The Twilight Zone and Outer Limits.

This was an awesome movie. Creepy, yes, but really awesome. Alas, this movie spoiled every movie with a surprise ending forever for me.

I saw it last night, two thumbs up. It was a gripping, scary thriller that pulls you along without the consant action and gore gimmicks of standard slasher films. Loved the unexpected twists.

IT scared the hell out of me when i was a kid. creepy, muderous clowns are freaky. also the exorcist *still* freaks me out. i love horror movies so most don't scare me but i have to say that Audition had an ending that made my skin crawl. psycho chick w/ vendetta+piano wire=much pain and agony.

Arachnaphobia scared the crap out of me, because I have this thing against spiders.

I loved Jaws as a kid. Ocean is only 70 minutes away, so I was facinated by sharks and whatnot, and I didn't aprticularily care for the actors that got eaten personally, so i was rooting for the shark.

The movie that terrified me the worst of any in my entire life though, was Jaws 4. Simply because of how truly agonizingly bad a movie it was. I fear for humankind in a world where such a film can make it to even VHS.

Poltergeist. Ive seen it only once, when I was 4. My father forced me to sit down and watch it with him. You remember the clown doll that attacked the kid? Yeah, I had that in my room. Since then I loathe clowns with a passion.

I'd love to watch it again now that Im an adult, but as far as things that stick with me scarywise, that is hands down the one that stuck with me ever since.

My brother and I begged our parents to take us to go see that movie. So they did. We were never so freaking scared in our lives. I think we slept in our parents' bed for like a month after that.
