So they're not having a fun time in ole Magyar land. Although I suppose more people that a dew are actaully having the times of their lives; wahtwith teargas and rubber bullets and I eve hear that they militant protesters (complete in black boots and in formation) stole a tank!

So the argument is this. Some people don't like their most recently elected PRime Minister that much that they are doing all of this ****.. and all on their version of 4th of July.

now one argument usually goes that way of:
You can't be having elections every fricken month just because a few people don't like the people who were elected.
Or you can go the way of:
The governemtn is obviously corrupt, no matter how legitamately elected.. so should it be the citizen's responsibility to deal with it?

Democracy in action!

The next political party here should be on the play on the word protest... like Republican for republic and Democrat for democracy.... Maybe Protesticrats..

In their defense, their Prime Minister did admit that he said all this:

Quote:

There is not much choice. There is not, because we have screwed up. Not a little but a lot. No country in Europe has screwed up as much as we have. It can be explained. We have obviously lied throughout the past 18 to 24 months. It was perfectly clear that what we were saying was not true.

...

You cannot mention any significant government measures that we can be proud of, apart from the fact that in the end we managed to get governance out of the sh*t. Nothing. If we have to give an account to the country of what we have done in four years, what are we going to say?

Naturally, the government's work is not constructed nicely, calmly or scrupulously. No. No. It is being prepared at a mad break-neck speed because we could not do it for a while in case it came to light, and now we have to do it so desperately that we are almost at the breaking point. And then we end up falling over because we cannot keep up the pace. This is the situation. In the meantime, we still have to come to an agreement with the free democrats because we still have ministerial problems - you know.

...

I almost perished because I had to pretend for 18 months that we were governing.

Instead, we lied morning, noon and night. I do not want to carry on with this.

So it might just be that they're finally learning what democracy is all about...

If it is like the "fried ice cream" that you can get at GitSlayer resteraunts, then it is ok in my book.

The fried snicker was something I saw at a fair when I was living in Va. They also had deep fried Twinkies... and they wonder why they are fat.
