Mental was never accepted out of pity and it's shameful for you to claim otherwise.

He was accepted because of his Alizee avatar.

I'm not sure I would refer to beef jerky as 'exorbitant'...

I rated the OP down. Why? None of your business, really -- they're my ratings to apply however I please. But, since you're obviously obsessed enough to throw a fit about it, I'll humor you: Because I thought a thread composed of a link to some chick with a note essentially saying "Huh huh.. this girl is hot" was dumb.

You gotta admit that girl is hot and kinda... unusual. Usually Mother Nature keeps a delicate balance between pretty, dumb, ugly and genius, meaning a girl with her looks would have to be about as dumb as a glass of water. And I don't see why you think the thread is "dumb". I mean, I've seen lots of "Look at me, I'm cool" threads here that got rated up, even though they were so obvious it was almost a joke in itself. For once it's not a political thread, or a joke about something that happened between two posters at an Asylum party last year.

I know I'm not welcome here and most of you see me as a worthless troll who belong at the bottom of Michigan Lake, or at least at sub-default, but at least hear me out before you start bashing. A lot of you see the Asylum as your private little room where you can pet each other and have fun, and I don't mean that in a disrespectful way at all. It's good to have a place like that and I understand why you don't like it when you're overrun by new posters. But the board description doesn't mention anything about this forum being private, having special regulations or anything. I know better and I found out the hard way, but to a new poster reading the board's description, this place would appear to be an Out Of Topic forum without any rules or regulations. A sort of "naughty" Out Of Topic forum.

Now, I'm not telling you to treat all newcomers as your best friends, but at least try to let them know what the deal is without going for the rate-button instantly. I mean, some of them come here to participate in a discussion and you bomb them beyond recognition because they misunderstood your internal joke and you didn't like that.

Until the admins decide to make another Asylum for all the posters who aren't regulars from Back Then, please realize that a lot of new posters are signing up at the site due to the merge with OGaming and that not all of them are familiar with how things happen on this board. In other words, instead of just rating them down, or calling them vulgar names, explain to them why they are in the wrong place and where they should go.

Meh, who am I kidding. You just skipped all that and went straight for the rate-button, didn't you? *******.

Meh don't get your panties in a wad. It's always been like that. You pretty much have to not give a crap. Each hierarchy falls after a time, things change thats how the asylum was founded.

Here's the thing, though. A few people have started posting here, some of them pretty recently, and haven't been driven away with torches and pitchforks.

But they didn't start out with complete idiocy, either. Or, if they did, they could laugh at themselves in a non-ironic way.

Our standards for accepting new posters? Really not all that high.

Just higher than most of that crowd can handle.

It's kind of like a large dysfunctional family. Sure, I think Bhodi is a weeping vag, but if some no-name calls him the same, I'll karma-camp him on principle, and not think twice about whether or not it's rational. The Asylum was made for this purpose. The admins don't keep other posters out because occasionally, someone brings over a friend that we don't think is a total waste of flesh. We pick on him, he replies with something original and witty, and we adopt him. However, to get to this point, we go through several forced miscarriages of dumbasses, wanna-be's, and other hangers-on looking to borrow our glow.

I'm not saying that you should put up with everything, not at all. But some might not see why they got rated down for no apparent reason when they just did like everyone else does.

If you're not familiar with the Asylum then you don't know that it's kinda like the mob where you, as you put it yourself, are okay with killing your own guys, but if someone on the outside touches them, all hell breaks loose.

So someone might get karma bombed for saying something and he'll be like "What did I do to deserve that? That guy just did the same thing and people cheered". And I understand how they feel. Yeah, I did some pretty stupid crap back then and looking back at it I kinda see why I was driven out. But it all started when I did something another poster did (one who shall not be named) and when I got flamed for it I didn't know what the hell was going on. I also suffered from anxiety and stress attacks, and I had issues confronting my own wrongsayings, but that's another story.

That being said, if a person doesn't get a hint after a while and starts acting like a baby then I agree with the ratedowns. After all, it is a no holds barred forum and the regular crowd only has to put up with so much. It is also why I agree with the ratedowns of my alter ego, Qaoz. I went over the line and didn't get the hint. However, I disagree with the karma camping of my current posting name. I do tend to get rated down whenever I pay a visit to this place nowadays, it's usually because people still remember Qaoz and not because of what I write.

While I have the crowd, would the person camping me in the Feedback Forum please give it a rest? I'm not going anywhere just because you try to bomb my occasional suggestion or question. Camp me here if you want, but please stop it there.

Yeah, we do have a fairly fierce institutional memory. It's just the way it is.

I, for one, think you seem to have gotten over the worst of your fUcktardedness.

My opinion and a Subway coupon will get you a sandwich, though.
