Watched last night's episode this morning. I really enjoyed the show. I think things are finally moving along. How cool was Peter's flying?

Claire's father - government good guy or bad guy? Still not absolutely certain yet. I liked the "hollow him out" line about the rapist. I'm finally hooked for sure now.

That about a psyco-killer? I've heard of it, but we don't have any of the Premium channels.

Yeah, my wife isn't into it either because it's too slow. But I think with each episode it gets better and better - gonna try to talk my wife into checking this episode out.

I still have yet to track down the first episode. Meh, no biggie, I'll buy the first season DVD to re-watch it all then.

I thought that, too at first. They appear to be two different guys. From the preview for next week, though, we see that the husband has a power of his own...won't spoil it by saying what though....

All righty, I saw this thread last week and had to resist reading it because I was waiting for TiVo to tape all the replays on Sci Fi. After realizing they weren't going to be playing the pilot (maybe because of what Joph quoted) I read a picture summary of Episode 1 and then watched 2-5 last night. (Damn I'm tired)

I'm officially hooked, I got goosebumps last night when Peter realized who was calling Mister Eesak. I don't see how people can be complaining about the pacing of this show while comparing it to LOST when LOST is now the king of all slowass splintered storylines. Seriously, it takes three episodes of LOST for us to take one step into season 3 and it feels so detached and lifeless. Heroes is a breath of fresh air for me after what has been a very dull start for S3.

I love Hiro and his friend, they're so dorkily cute. But then maybe that's just my Asian bias. ;)

They are two different actors.

I noticed that the cops and and Jeckle & Hide hottie, think the husband is a killer, but I suspect she did the killing and assumed when she woke up that he did it.

I may still have it on my Tivo. If so, I'll put it on a VHS tape (sorry no DVD burner hooked to my Tivo...yet.) for ya.

Edit:
Hmmm maybe I will have a DVD burner today.

I'm still watching Season 2 since I jumped on the LOST bandwagon about halfway through the airings of S2, so that could be it. I hope what you're saying about S3 isn't true, I haven't been reading into it for fear of spoilers. Smiley: frown

It's easy enough - I never watched Lost and I simply found the pacing of the previous episodes to be a bit slower than it needed to be - just my opinion. However, I think it's building up steam and moving at a better pace for me now. So it's all good.

Thanks for the generous offer, BloodwolfeX, but we dumped/gave away all our vcr's before moving back to California. It's cool - I was planning on picking up the Season 1 DVD set when it comes out, anyhoo. In the meantime, I'll see if I can find it on one of those bit torrent things in the meantime. Smiley: sly

Yeah, yeah. Necropost. I know.

But I figured that since the show doesn't seem to be starting up again until the end of January, it would be a good time to "discuss".

I still don't like the pacing. I still can't stop watching it, though. There are so many edge-of-my-seat moments that I think the show has cut off about 2 years from my life expectancy. Hell, who needs smoking when you've got good television?

Anyways,

*HUGE FUCKING SPOILERS WARNING*

Who else /gasped when Eden died? At least, one would think that she's dead. Getting shot in the head tends to do that to a person. And what about this whole "Peter is teh bomb" thing? I think previous evidence points to that radioactive dude (I can't remember his name) being able to make a pretty big boom. And Sylar. What the hell does he have to do with the impending doom? It's also worth noting that nothing that Issac has painted hasn't come true. A cheerleader still died, pretty much as depicted. How can the Heroes hope to stop something that is apparently imminent? What does Nikki/Jessica, DL, and Micah have to do with all this? So far they've had an engrossing story, but aside from the slaughter that Hiro sat in on, it has nothing to do with the main plot. And who the hell is the "mute" Haitian, already? Gah! Too many goddamn questions!

Everytime I am clicking through the channels and Heroes is on I stop and watch it for half a second. Everytime it boggles the mind that the show didn't go off the air after the first 8 episodes. Much like American Dad.

Dodo, I've pretty much got the same questions as you. And this show is killing me!

Also, just what is up with Claire's dad already? Is he on her side, their side, his own side? And Eden (before she died) and Haitian dude seem to have turned against Dad. More damn questions.

But I'm soooo hooked. Jan. 22, bah.

I think we've been lead to believe that he's on his own side and that he's out purely for Claire. He wants what he believes is best for her. However, this past episode has revealed that he clearly answers to somebody. Who? It's anybody's guess.

I suppose the big theme here is that most everybody is out for their own interests. Eden believed that it would be best for Sylar to be dead. Claire's dad believed it would be best if Claire didn't remember a thing. Haitian dude clearly thought otherwise. I don't think we're at a point where we can come up with a clear Us and Them.

January 22nd is a long time to wait Smiley: frown

At the end when Peter "woke up" in the city why was everyone running from him before he even started going Nuclear? Clare ran up to him and then quickly ran away (in slow motion I might add Smiley: sly) The cop seemed to be shoving everyone away and Hiro just watched from a distance. The fiance brought up a good point, he really started going berserk when his brother walked up to him, maybe he did something to **** him off and the nuclear guy was around Peter when he got angry. Why did Isaac paint Hiro fighting a Dinosaur....

Quote:

I was thinking the same thing, maybe its a side story to the end of the world plot? You have the large group "fighting" their way to stop the world from ending, Nikki/Jessica might be a more personal story playing out alongside the end of the world. They may not even end up playing a huge role in the end like everyone else. A guy that can walk through walls, dodge bullets, etc battling his ex wife with Jekyll & Hyde syndrome seems like a good story to me. I wonder if Micah has any yet unseen powers?

Guess we will have to wait and see, but I am really looking forward to the second season.
