You should see Joph last week, pining over Mariska. The whole episode he was coming up with ways to get rid of the psycho blonde chick.

Why you all be hatin'? I love Drawn Together. It's the heavy racist and homosexual jokes that bother you isn't it? Damn racist homophobes. Only **** out there funnier is Robot Chicken.

Oh no you don't. Even completely stoned I'm too smart to find this show even remotely entertaining.

I kind of like the blonde chick, but I was hoping they would feature Richard Belzer and Ice-T more in Mariska's absence. Those two are easily the most compelling cop duo of the last hundred years. The blonde, on the other hand, has ******** and that's a darned compelling pair, as well.

On a semi-related note, what did you think of Jerry Lewis' performance? I found his portrayal of a demented old man almost too believable.

We watched Drawn Together a couple times when it first came out because we thought maybe we'd like it since it was about reality tv, but after sitting through 2 really sick and twisted episodes, we just quit in disgust. It was just so unfunny and really nasty. I remember my mouth dropping open more than a couple times and just saying, "What.......?" I can't believe it's in season 3. +_+

While his performance was good, I thought the overall episode was very poor. They started out with a really gruesome double rape murder and then midway it switches over to Uncle Andrew. Didn't care for that at all.

I rarely laugh during SVU, but I loved that line from the ADA when blonde chick demanded to know why she didn't do more, "I guess I just suck." Smiley: lol

Drawn together would be much funnier if it had the mystery science theater robots constantly mocking them.

I don't have anything against Ice-T (well, aside fromm his name) and he does a good job on the show but Belzer is an underused treasure on the show. At least in the syndicated episodes since I rarely catch the network first runs. I was happy to see him get some face time in the episode but he didn't get a chance to be cynical and misogynistic enough Smiley: grin

The blonde* was just a friggin' idiot and I was praying for her to fall in front of the subway train. I have no idea who she is or what she's doing but she fills me with a great irritation.

A damn fine job. What does it say that his demented old man performance was perhaps more believable than his "cured" old man performance when he first appeared all cleaned up?

Edit: *Connie Nielson, it seems. Filling in while Mariska selfishly has a baby. WTF?

I can see that. As a complete aside, I don't care for vanilla Law & Order. I first started with SVU and the first time I saw the original, I was like "WTF? It's twenty seconds into the episode and I already know who did it. What's the point?"

Yeah, regular L&O is seriously hurting, which is probably why they moved it to Friday. Add to that they have a new McCoy Toy who looks like she just had 10 Botox sessions the week before she arrived AND they've added a female rookie as Green's partner, making him the "senior" guy since Fontana retired. Whoever that chick is, she's got a long road ahead of her to try to be as good as Mariska. It's been 2 episodes and she still acts and walks like she has a 2x4 stuck in her pants. *sniff* Lenny, I miss you!

BTW, don't know if you get the same replays as me, but last night Universal HD played the SVU that starts with the newborn found in a sewer. The lawyer representing the dematologist is Mariska's husband.

Apparently, Drawn Together would be funnier if it was about meerkats who solved sexual crimes.

I know *I'd* watch it.

Lenny reminded me of my grandpa. Except Granpa isn't dead. While I agree that regular Law and Order isn't what it used to be, I'm actually morwe turned off by CI these days than any of them. I used to enjoy what's his name's neck contortions, but anymore it's just way too formulaic for my taste. Every episode ends with the bad guy getting totally bent out of sjape, crying and confessing. I sort of enjoy the episodes with Chris Noth, but only because I think at any moment Sarah Jessica Parker could appear and get boned.

Back on topic, meerkats committing sex crimes would be must-see TV.

All through when we first dated, Joph and my fly-out schedule consisted of fast food runs and illicit relations during SVU marathons. I don't know how we always managed to schedule it, but it was always on. That, and Scrubs. Smiley: laugh

I stopped watching because he was getting to be too Mulder. He'd just pull the killer, motive, weapon hiding place, co-conspirators, and closet skeletons out of his ***. I liked Katherine Erbe for a while, but then she was just too much of a sidekick to enjoy. I didn't even know that they had that Anna Whatsherface on the show with Chris Noth until last month. I never got why they would solve the really small stuff while Brisco and Green would get the big kidnappings, serials, and bombs. I mean, doesn't last week's brownstone explosion rate as a "worst criminal offender"? Or are they in a completely different part of New York?

I'm bummed Fontana retired from L&O. He was the best thing going along with his interaction with Martin.

Yeah, not a fan of Drawn Together either, even though I've seen a total of 4 episodes. It tries too hard to be edgy/gross-out/whatever. I may laugh at 2% of the entire show.

Now Robot Chicken, just started seeing some episodes on YouTube...I dig it. Pretty funny stuff.

Only animation shows I still watch are The Simpsons (when I can remember to watch it, which I admit to not doing for quite some time now), South Park (10 years now, oh my), and Family Guy. Harvey Birdman when I can remember to track it down.

The Office, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, My Name is Earl, all of the CSI(s) and Reno 911 are the only shows I try to watch regularly.

I've mentioned it before, but for reality television nothing beats Cathouse on HBO. It's based in the world famous Bunny Ranch in Nevada and is like The Real World but the cast members are all either prostitutes or Johns. I give it a big Smiley: thumbsup. The other day I was watching it and one of the girls got smacked in the face by a Mexican dude with a drilldo. How disrespectful!

Try as I might, I've never been high enough to care about Drawn Together. It's just disgustingly unfunny. ATHF, though, is hilarious. Especially 15 beers through an 18-pack.
